The restriction on social media for children turns out to be more than it seemed. It’s in fact digital IDs by the back door. This is a step far, far too far @Keir_Starmer

I'm a resident of your constituency. As a practicing psychotherapist and counsellor your Bill will absolutely make a difference to me and my work, but for all the wrong reasons. This Bill must be stopped. Again.

If a date has been confirmed by the EU, which it has, then Keir Starmer has given away further concessions and will allow EU students to pay less at UK universities, and likely abandoned the cap on youth migration.
UK PM @Keir_Starmer and @eucopresident have just announced that the second UK-EU summit will be held on 22 July.

It is absolutely an insult to parliament that this bill has been brought back.

Last time at second reading, Leadbeater insisted it was just a vote to continue the debate. Then she packed the bill committee, closed down the debate and removed the safeguards. Are they going to tell the same lies a second time? x.com/PolitlcsUK/status/2066…

If they try and push through the Assusted Dying Bill we need a GE immediately because pushing through something extremely unsafe & expensive without the public voting for it is wrong. Something this big that changes the relationship between the State & individual needs a public vote. Starmer wont get away with this

No one voted for a state-funded death service. It was in no party’s manifesto. The PMB/free vote convention is being used to force through radical social change without a popular mandate, while allowing political parties & their leaders to wash their hands of all responsibility.

Absolutely dismayed that the Assisted Dying Bill is being re-introduced. Not a single one of our major medical or professional bodies support it. A deeply flawed and dangerous bill that poses a real risk to the most vulnerable in our society.

Curacao, ranked 82nd in the world, have Germany, ranked 10th, on the ropes... but let's stop for a "hydration break" in an air-conditioned stadium. What an absolute farce.

BREAKING: The assisted suicide/euthanasia industry is about to announce that they are bringing back their Bill to Parliament. We MUST keep fighting. This Bill is an unprecedented danger to the elderly, disabled, and other vulnerable groups.
🌹A new assisted suicide Bill would mean: - DISTRACTION: of Govt from core issues - DIVISION: of already divided Party (42% of Labour MPs oppose Bill) - DISRUPTION: of Labour reset, under new or current leader - DEFEAT: only 12 MPs need change their mind; they likely already have

The Labour MP Ashley Dalton, who carries metastatic breast cancer, repeats her opposition to the assisted suicide bill.
Very sad to see my colleague Lauren Edwards MP bringing the deeply flawed and unsafe Assisted Dying Bill back as a PMB. If it was safe and brilliant why did the Lords sponsor of the bill bring 77 amendments in the Lords? It cannot just be brought back as it is and forced through.

This terrible bill will tear the Labour Party apart. They have one chance to reset with a new leader, but instead they’ve chosen to be divided by this Bill again. Madness.
NEW: The Assisted Dying Bill is returning to Parliament this week. Labour MP Lauren Edwards will reintroduce it on Wednesday after coming 2nd in the private members’ ballot. “The process has been frustrated by a small minority”, she argues.

I hear that a backbench MP will be reintroducing the assisted suicide bill. I cannot think of a more tone-deaf thing to do at a time of national malaise, particularly as the bill divides the Labour Party, and has been rejected by every medical royal college that took a view.

Rejected in Holyrood. Rejected in Westminster. Country in an utter mess. Party at all time low. Colossal misjudgement.
Hearing it’s a Labour MP set to reintroduce it. It’s first and foremost the wrong thing to do morally - the assisted dying bill puts vulnerable people at risk. But it’s also an insane political manoeuvre. So divisive for the Labour Party and couldn’t come at a worse time.

Looks like a Labour MP is announcing they are bringing back the deeply flawed, unsafe assisted dying bill. Forget social media ban, forget about by-election, forget about a fresh start. One MP and multi million ££ lobbyists saying ignore dangers for the vulnerable
