Everyone should be able to enter and exit their home safely, but broken lifts and lack of evacuation equipment can leave residents trapped. In the event of a fire, this can cost lives.
Last week, both lifts in our building broke down on the hottest days of the year, so far.
We applaud @LFBHarrow for the exceptional response time, work, and professionalism. Helping a Disabled resident evacuate the building.
The building is managed by @MetTVH & @YY_Management

There are two lifts in this building, and many people that would need assistance evacuating, the six key safes outside the building should indicate this. One lift should be working at all times, and it is unacceptable that this is not the case. @MetTVH @YY_Management

Our bin store & cleanliness have been ongoing issues, but with new cladding, balconies, and lifts, we stayed quiet. Silence was golden, until now. Both lifts are broken again in a building marked high fire risk with a simultaneous evacuation order. Some of us can’t evacuate. ♿️

I live in one of the 112 high-rise buildings in London that the @LondonFire felt appropriate to remove the stay-put advice due to fire safety concerns. This shift in policy highlights the urgent need for Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) @InclusionLondon
