“New guidelines from the health watchdog NICE published today will recommend that vaginal mesh surgery can be offered again by the NHS as long as certain conditions are met.”
The narrative used to soften the blow of
#mesh injuries is that we suffered ‘complications’
But what were those ‘complications’???
Based on my evidence & the evidence of injured colleagues - I will try to list some…
🩸 large trocars forced through vaginal wall dragging over 40 cm of
#mesh caused internal catastrophic bleeding & large undiagnosed internal heamatomas
🩸the implanting technique was ‘BLIND’
#mesh incorrectly placed - so much so it was in fact ‘Never Events’
Never mind the
#woman just Carry On
🩸 laceration to
#nerves such as
#pudendal #genitofemoral #obturator #iliohypogastric #ilioinguinal
🩸🩸🩸Ilioinguinal , iliohypogastric & genitofemoral neuralgia are amongst the most severe forms of nerve or neuropathic pain affecting the groin
🩸 women used in SIMS trials without their knowledge or consent - crippled for life
🩸
#mesh wrongly placed found wrapped around their ureters which required major surgery to remove
🩸
#mesh stuck to exterior walls of
#bladder -this will eventually erode
🩸
#mesh with cancerous tumours attached -
#plastic is
#carcinogenic - you know - the stuff they want out of our oceans!
🩸my
#mesh is misplaced stuck to the front of my pubic bones !
🩸 guide tapes for SIMS stuffed into groin tissue instead of being trimmed
🩸
#pain burning throughout the pelvis - NO ONE should be left in such pain & suffering for something “minimally invasive” - which clearly was untrue as it was EXTREMELY INVASIVE
🩸 women were told to stop moaning - it wasn’t the
#mesh & were told they needed
#hysterectomy - many still in child bearing age - after the hysterectomy, guess what?, they were still in
#mesh pain
🩸
#bladders left in retention for years due to
#mesh strangulation- this caused Trigonitis & bladder wall injury
It’s time that the term “complications” was removed from editorial & replaced with “catastrophic internal life altering injuries (plural)
