Privatised rail Rolling Stock Companies (ROSCOs) make huge profits.. All holed-up in tax havens. Paid £409.7m dividend last year. Profit margin of 41.6%. UK taxes dodged. UK Govt's rail nationalisation plans will not apply to ROSCOs. Why might that be? leftfootforward.org/2024/07/…

Fortunately, Wikipedia's List of members of the House of Lords looks like a fantastic & well maintained page. * en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o…

Knocking off peers faster than Kind Hearts and Coronets; now at 921 from about 3.5k. Need to reduce this to about 810 & then add some eligibility qualifiers. Mainly victims of the House of Lords Act 1999 cull, and the odd stray bishop. * w.wiki/AeGV

Hindi Wikipedia does Rambot, 20 years later, but using a much more dodgy source. What could go wrong?

22 years. Rambot is the little hill of beans around 2003. * en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o… Interesting period, those early years: huge growth on a very small base; then years of moaning about decline, then we just stopped measuring things.

Wikidata represents that ~450k dead people are current holders of positions (like MP, mayor of this, CEO of that, or whatever). That's probably not good. For instance, says there are ~3,000 people sitting in the UK House of Lords right now. * w.wiki/AdQE

BREAKING: The Lancet has just published this article "conservatively" estimating that the death toll in the Gaza genocide could be 186,000 people or more. That's 8% of the population, obliterated. These are apocalyptic figures. thelancet.com/journals/lance…

Sorry to see @wesstreeting won. I hope he understands the message here: people think his NHS reforms stink.
Wow. Look at how close @LeanneMohamad came to unseating Wes Streeting. This is remarkable for somebody to come from nowhere and nearly take a seat from someone with a national profile. She must keep building in her community. Well done, Leanne. Hold your head high.

.@vaughangething let's be clear if a professional footballer had taken a £200,000 bung from an obviously dodgy opponent team, they'd rightly be banned from the game.
