Most people from the Nyanza region claim to be extremely rich. Not to hate, but truth be told, many of them brag a lot. On my way to Kisii via Kisumu, I've noticed that mud-walled houses dot the region all the way from Kisumu Town to Ahero, Katito, Sondu, and even beyond. The houses have a very similar design. What motivates these "millionaires" to build small mud-walled structures?

Ngong road is going to be the “face of Nairobi and Kenya in general” during Afcon 2027 for matches held in Talanta Stadium.
Suggestion: All building/land owners need to be “strongly encouraged” to improve the external architectural look of their property. Secondly we need proper non-motorized paths plus footbridges

Nairobi needs to shift from trying to solve every mobility challenge with flyovers, wider roads, and elevated highways to investing in fast and reliable public transport.
Kenyatta Avenue viaduct is set to transform city travel; creating an elevated corridor, it will ease CBD congestion & allow uninterrupted traffic and cut commute times. It also boosts safety by separating through traffic from local vehicles and pedestrians.@Roads_KE @KeNHAKenya

The last Nairobi property valuation roll was prepared in 1980. Land rates, one of NCC's main own-source revenues, are calculated from this 1980 baseline. Entire new estates, developments, & market realities built in the last 45 years are not captured.

Final Assessment
NIUPLAN is the vision.NaMSIP is the blueprint.Njeru's thesis is the audit.All 3 agree on what Nairobi needs:world-class road infrastructure,segregated NMT & BRT on major corridor,a Riverfront Rd & linear park,& affordable housing that's genuinely affordable.
