Gee, I wonder why Jesus wouldn't have mentioned the actual smallest seed? "The kingdom of heaven is like an orchid seed, the smalle—" "What the heck is an orchid?" "That's not the point." It's called speaking to your audience. It's a parable, not a statement of absolute fact.
Christianity is FALLING APART because of this (Mustard seed dilemma) Jesus says in Mathew 13:31-32 the smallest of all seeds is the Mustard seed and that’s not scientifically true The smallest seed is orchid seeds, therefore Jesus got it wrong

Today I interview a priest who was sent away by his bishop to a "psychological care center for priests" simply for being too orthodox. This priest was hooked up to a lie-detector and even told to describe the confessions of former parishioners. substack.com/@padreperegrino…

This is actually pathetic. It's a stupid gorilla. We don't need to be remembering or mourning a wild animal a decade after its death.
Today, we remember a legend. On this day in history, Harambe would have celebrated another birthday. An icon that became part of internet history, American culture, and an entire generation’s timeline. Tomorrow marks 10 years since we lost him. Ten years since the moment the world stopped scrolling and collectively mourned something bigger than a meme. He became a symbol of loyalty, strength, chaos, unity, and the strange beauty of the internet bringing millions of people together for one cause: never forgetting Harambe. Everyone remembers where they were when they heard the news. And somehow, a decade later, his legacy still lives on. Gone, but never forgotten. Rest easy to a true patriot. 🕊️🇺🇸 May 27, 1999 — May 28, 2016 Forever in our hearts.

"According to Jesus we're supposed to turn the other cheek when we're hurt, right?" "Yes. In Jesus' time, a person that backhanded your cheek was treating you as lesser. So you turn the other cheek, forcing them to strike you as an equal." "What does that have to do with immigration?" "The contention is that immigrants are allowed to treat us as lesser because they come from incompatible cultures and attack us. But we can't then tell them no, because that's 'racist'." "That seems contrary to what Jesus taught." "It is, and amazingly so. Non-Christians often seize on the idea that Jesus advocated for non-violence to tell Christians to shut up and take what's being done to them." "Are you sure that's what Jesus taught? It's not like you could ask him personally. He predates you by a millennium, right?" "Jesus makes the same point with the story of giving away your cloak, and with going the extra mile. In the latter's case, a Roman soldier could make an Israelite carry anything like a pack mule for up to a mile. It was a humiliation. But Jesus told them to carry it another mile, to treat the Roman as you would a friend, which would both shame them and force them to treat you as a person instead of a mule." "What about the cloak?" "When you're poor and living in an ancient society, your cloak is vital for getting through the cold nights. In Jesus' time, it was common to get around this by demanding the other person give you their shirt. But if you give them the cloak as well, it is a deliberate provocation: if they take the shirt and cloak, they will be shamed by the community." "And... the good samaritan?" "The point was the man who was a neighbor was not the priest or the Levite, but the one who showed mercy to his neighbor. It doesn't say 'everyone is your neighbor', in fact it states the opposite rather plainly. It's your actions that make you a neighbor, NOT your ethnicity." "So, not everyone is your neighbor?" "The neighbor shows mercy to those who have been hurt." "What does that have to do with immigration?" "Nothing. They've decided it means that you must allow immigrants to raid and attack you and treat you like garbage without retaliation of any sort. You can't even say 'stop it' without being declared racist." "Then why did he bring up Christianity at all?" "Because he's not a Christian and doesn't understand it."
Christ’s gospel was so radical, so contrary to the wisdom of the world, that people are still coping 2000 years later, insisting that he didn’t actually mean what he said.

Yaoi garbage. Mangaka drew a female MC but thought it'd be funnier to say it's a male. Might be the worst trope in all of manga.

Catholic sexual morality wins again. This whole situation would never have occurred if they'd both been chaste.

While I'm 100% in favor of mothers staying home with their children, everyone's missing the obvious question: Why is there a 12 midnight when she's using 24-hour time?

Comparing a teenage girl being sexually assaulted to a teenage boy seeing a woman in a bikini is certainly a choice. Not a very good one, but it is a choice.

You cannot baptize someone unwilling. Valid reception of any sacrament requires the proper disposition of the recipient.
Replying to @TaylorRMarshall
Force baptize an atheist and tell me whether they get to heaven or not.

While this is sad, we really need to stop referring to pets as "fur babies". It's a misplaced parenting instinct, and it's harmful to our culture and personal wellbeing.

Religious Liberty Commission member @CarriePrejean1 was reportedly removed for making statements that mirror remarks from the Pope. Removing members for religious viewpoints undermines the very purpose of the Commission. I’m asking two Congressional committees to review.

I'm sorry you didn't read. The subscription is yearly. You are locked into a contract in order to obtain a lower overall price. Just because you pay each month doesn't mean it's a monthy subscription. It's not complicated. Just cancel at the end of the billing cycle.
great, i have to pay to cancel my adobe subscription most pathetic way to get me to keep my subscription lol

This post and its replies prove why democracy can never work. The glare is caused by 1. improper installation 2. bad light aim 3. headlights too far off the ground The solution isn't banning the better lights; it's expanding vehicle inspections and restricting grill height.
Scientist at Mount Sinai School of Medicine's Light and Health Research Center says that the new headlight bulbs being used in America are dangerous and causing accidents “He says, older headlights use halogen bulbs which have a softer orange color, but newer ones are bluish white. You're creating a lot of glare for those other drivers” I agree, the new headlights are awful and blind you. They should have never been allowed on the market

Thank God this "communion bread" wasn't validly consecrated.
A side benefit of being a Protestant minister is that I get to snack on leftover communion bread. :) #Scottishshortbread

"Where they're coming from" is literally just "boo hoo they're cannibalizing the sales of our garbage overpriced hardware". Nintendo is evil, and nobody should ever buy their hardware. If you must play their games, buy a copy (used if possible) and emulate.
Might be an unpopular take and I’m the last person to be a blind Nintendo defender, but I get where they’re coming from. Emulating the NES hurts no one, but emulating a console and games currently in production really is just plain piracy. This shouldn’t surprise anyone.
