I was able to load a 10 million polygon photoscan of Ziggy in the @UnrealEngine. Using #UE5's Nanite meshes I was able to load 1000 instances of it at 60fps before I got bored. That's 10 billion polygons and it didn't even blink. It could have handled a lot more than this.
Lumen is fantastic😀. As you can see from the world outliner, there are no lights in this level. Just the emissive materials lighting the environment directly with Lumen! Super cool! #UE5
I now have a website for various @UnrealEngine tutorials/content! This will largely cover C , Multiplayer/Physics Programming, Tech Art etc.
Although it isn't quite ready, this first article has been useful for some folks - so here it is! #UE4#Gamedevjambax.co.uk/better-burst-co…
#UE4#leveldesign quicktip!
When going from pen & paper to #blockout, don't underestimate the BSP pen tool. It's easy to draw complex shapes and lets you roughly block out your level in no time.
'Spacebar' places a vertex point, 'escape' removes and 'return' creates the shape.
A little something I've been working on: An abstraction of the Robo Recall modding tech packaged up into a generic #UE4 plugin along with an example project and quick start guide! Have a look and add mod support to your games today. #modding#gamedev
🧰 Want mod support for your game? 🎮
The brand-new SimpleUGC plugin and UGC Example project make it easier than ever to bring unique, user-generated content into your titles. #UE4

Hey folks, just so you're aware: @UnrealEngine has a HUGE amount of video courses that are freely available to the public. They cover a ton of content and they're totally free. These are entire *courses*. Free. As in beer. Available here: learn.unrealengine.com/#gamedev#UE4
So normally when you have LODs they pop, right? Enable Dithered LOD Transitions in your Material properties and it'll automatically fade that material when popping in the new one. Feels good. #UE4
Making GREAT progress with the @GameDevTV Unreal C course remaster (Thanks review group! You know who you are!) Stay tuned for the section 2 release date!
