It was a great interview, I forgot a lot of areas I wanted to discuss cause I get distracted easily but still covered a good amount. There was an interesting timeline back in may 2025 where there was a global consensus around the capability of AI in cybersecurity, codex still didnโ€™t exist and Claude code was nowhere near what it is today and so people really didnโ€™t believe in it and it was quite taboo to bring it up, however I was working on what I used to call specific algorithms (now they call them harness) that fine tune the models at the time which was o3 to specifically reduce the amount of false positive and actually make it find big exploits that were real, and after a lot of research and testing, and it worked surprisingly good, very good we did well above 200k in less than 2 months after, Oris was a whole fundamental harness of its own like the way codex or Claude code is. But still I intentionally stayed silent and never mentioned it till a year after Just because well there was no need to talk about such capability publically and even if I did majority of people were already extremely skeptic at the time anyways. I was monitoring the public opinion around AI in cybersecurity for a long time now and operating just in the shadows. Things flipped in summer around August where a lot of cybersecurity companies started making random bs AI agents and claiming it found actual vulnerabilities which was completely false and just advertising scheme. Then OpenAI and Anthropic also realized their models can be quite capable in cybersecurity so they focused on that and published more cybersecurity focused models and advertised it as such which made the public less skeptic and made the topic a lot less taboo and now here we are today barely a year later. Oris is to not just make it find big exploits but also to allow it to exploit freely on the blockchain which does make it dangerous in the wrong hands but it would make the industry a lot more secure in the right hands. Currently there are so many different โ€œAI agentsโ€ running that makes people scared that they would find many bugs but at the same time the same AI is actively introducing bugs as many large protocols keep using AI to vibe code their codebases, so I believe thereโ€™s even more opportunities in cybersecurity than ever before, the industry is having a huge boom like never before and the need for security in DeFi is increasing rapidly specially now that many financial institutions have decided to enter in some way or another in this field. The blockchain technology is really beautiful and it allows products that could never be possible using the traditional banking system by allowing finance to move through code which allows endless possibilities but what makes it powerful is also what makes it more vulnerable for exploits. A lot of SRs seem to be threatened by the advancement of AI in cybersecurity but I believe there will be a lot of demand for human SRs just in a different context and not manual audits as much but to keep improving the algorithms and come up with new breakthroughs like an actual researcher.

We reported a critical loss of funds bug to @Thorchain (32M TVL, 150M FDV) They silently patched it and told us their bug bounty program is permanently retired. We have more Thorchain chain halt DoS vulns. We intend to release them (open disclosure) in the coming few days

๐Ÿงต[1/6] Last week I privately disclosed a valid vulnerability affecting Alephiumโ€™s Wormhole bridge integration. The issue was confirmed by the team. It allowed a permissionless attacker to drain the entire balance of a live mainnet contract.
Replying to @alephium
The cause of the exploit has been identified. The exploit was NOT caused by a compromise of the guardian keys, contrary to some early external reports. The team is now fully focused on recovery and remediation efforts. We are working around the clock to address the impact of this incident and support affected users. Our next update will be shared on Monday. Throughout next week, we will provide additional information regarding the recovery process for users with ALPH locked in the bridge, further details on the exploit and its cause, and a comprehensive postmortem. We sincerely thank our community for its patience and support while we work through this situation.

This is my โ€œI am still worthyโ€ moment. Finally found a High Severity issue in a Blockchain/DLT bug bounty program on @HackenProof . It has been an incredibly tough journey for me. In August 2024, After reaching all time #35 on the @CodeHawks leaderboard. I felt like I had built a good foundation in auditing. I decided to take a short break from contests and prepare for an interview with a highly reputable firm that had reached out to me. But after a few days of preparation, I realized something was off. It started with brain fog and slowly turned into very strange neurological symptoms. My memory felt slower, had this constant gloomy feeling, weakness in my hands, and sometimes an electric-like sensation in my head. and symptoms worsened whenever I tried to sleep. My health kept deteriorating, and with it, opportunities slowly slipped away. Around March 2025, after nearly 6 months of recovery, most neurological symptoms had improved, but I still could not sit continuously for 2 hours without discomfort. Yet, with limited strength, I chose to start again. I applied to the @pashov internship program because I wanted to work in a team, but unfortunately, I did not make it through. That rejection was a reality check. By mid-2024, I had made 5 figs from auditing and 4 figs from judging. A strong firm had reached out to me. And now, I was being rejected from an internship program. I understood how brutally competitive this space is, and how constantly you need to prove yourself to stay in the game. Past results matter, but only for a while. What once looked like a very promising auditing journey felt completely derailed. I decided to let go of my past achievements and start again like a beginner. Slowly, small results started showing up, and I even secured 3rd rank in one contest. But overall, It was a difficult year, as I was still in the recovery phase. With only a few recent achievements, I reached out to several audit firms, hoping for a private audit opportunity. Most did not respond, but I truly appreciate @DevDacian for always taking time to reply to my DMs politely and respectfully. In 2026, I almost fully recovered. worked hard with full potential and deep-dived into bug bounties, faced a few duplicates, kept pushing, and eventually got this bounty. After everything that happened, I needed this win more than I can explain. It reminded me that setbacks can push you back, but you can always come back stronger. The comeback has started. My DMs are open for private audits, security reviews, and meaningful opportunities.

I guess Christmas came early, lol With this bounties I have officially earned more than $100k in bounties this year already, within five months. 4 Critical bugs to one project, and a chain halt bug for another project.
My goal for 2026 is simple. Join the elites club by making over $100k in bug bounty
