Great publication by our former Postdoc Nick (Chun) So, now PI at NIBS. Congratulations to So Lab @SpermnOocyte and the team! πŸ₯³
Why 50% of human fertilized eggs fail to complete pre-implantation development? Latest work from my lab in @CellCellPress now clarifies the two causes that contribute to the low efficiency of early human embryos and provides one of the solutions. (1/7) doi.org/10.1016/j.cell.2026.…

Excited to share that our preprint 'RNA reinforces condensate nucleation on chromatin to amplify oncogenic transcription' is now online @MolecularCell cell.com/molecular-cell/full… @PennMedCSO @PennCancer @PennEpiInst
(1/n) Excited to share our new preprint! We uncover that RNA actively promotes nucleation and function of pathogenic condensates, amplifying locus-specific oncogenic transcription and promoting tumorigenesis. #epigenetics #condensates #cancer #RNA biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

Pics from ULP’s Learning Lab Open House at Soka University yesterday where they showed us how to pipette, complete a circuit, count cells, and much more! They took us through activities they introduce young students to in helping them explore future academic and career pathways.

Grateful to @ASBMB for this extraordinary honor and to the colleagues who nominated me. This recognition means a great deal because it affirms something I believe deeply: talent is universal, but access is not.

Researchers in Science have created β€œcyborg” pancreatic organoids that combine stretchy miniature electronics with stem cell-derived pancreatic islets, using the implanted electronics to monitor electrical activity related to glucose regulation in maturing Ξ± and Ξ² cells. The "cyborg" organoids offer a path to study the biology and trace the maturation of Ξ± and Ξ² cells at the single-cell level, with an eye toward potentially treating or engineering new pancreatic islets in people with diabetes. In 1983 Barbara McClintock was awarded an unshared #NobelPrize in Physiology or Medicine. McClintock discovered 'jumping genes' in corn, and proved that chunks of genetic code can change position on a chromosome, affecting genetic expression.
