The ban on under 16s is not about the children it is about getting information about everyone, adults have to prove who they are, they are taking away anonymity. Nothing to do with protecting children.

I’m scared to ask for more money and crowdfunding for “The Lady and the Mermaid (my short film)” after this discourse… bc there’s no way I’m able to make a full 6-10min film in less than ¥900000($5660) and I set the goal too low at my first Kickstarter due to my fear of not being able to meet the goal asking too much. However, yen is like half a dollar and even though I'm asking for ¥5000000 funding goal next time, it literally only transfers to over $30000 which is not too high on how much money it's needed to create a short film on average. Animation is expensive and most of all, we have fulfillments on rewards shipping fees. AND we get less money due to the Kickstarter 10% commission fees etc. I’m currently trying to fulfill my rewards that I can make and ship in the end of 2026, but it’s very hard on sustaining our credibility while not being able to ship the rest of the rewards until our final due in 2027 August and asking for money for an another Kickstarter due to our first funding only met the budget of being able to make a proof of concept.
