Currently having my 'break' in a busy entrance waiting room. Not exactly conducive to rest or I imagine the image the trust wants to portray of how it treats its staff especially in the context of the recent 10 point plan to improve resident doctor wellbeing.

Med reg at a large NHS trust tonight. 1 old, unclean recliner chair in an office is seen as acceptable rest facilities for the 5 med registrars on site. We know that fatigue causes prescription errors and patient harm. We also know driving home afterwards is inherently dangerous.

The government seem determined to demonise the public sector for wanting to be paid fairly.
@RachelReevesMP threatening cuts to services is disgraceful. A 2.8% pay rise for the public sector is insulting and will lead to strikes.

So I have had some interaction with the CEO. Hopefully things are moving in a direction to get me a rota. I'll be happier when I actually have it though! Thanks all for the support and advice, I hopefully don't need to get frustrated and bemoan things on X again any time soon!

Not exactly sure what I need to do to get @Leic_hospital to give me a rota for a job I start in less than 5 weeks. Here's me just wanting to know what days I will be working, with a wife in hospital and a 6 day old to look after. Been completely sent round the houses. @TheBMA
