For those declaring Helium dead: HIP-149 shifts the model toward real economics. Carrier traffic from companies like AT&T helps create a floor for deployer rewards. If deployers have enough incentive, they'll keep deploying. The network grows. Simple. Don't Over think it.

Carriers are pulling back on infrastructure spend. But demand for mobile coverage is not slowing down. The Helium Network was created for exactly this moment: real connectivity, without massive capex. Mile-High Wi-Fi in Denver is the perfect example of the Helium model in action. The IT firm helps businesses address common connectivity problems: terrible indoor cell coverage, an unreliable guest network, and dead zones staff just works around. Then they convince those businesses to put their existing Wi-Fi to work on the Helium Network. Now, Mile-High operates ~200 locations with Helium Plus and 20 Hotspots deployed across Denver. No carrier rollout. No massive infrastructure deal. Just a local IT firm solving real connectivity problems and growing the Helium Network one venue at a time. 1/ If it's not complicated, why did you get it wrong? - "it is not complicated, it is a feedback loop that ends in zero." is incorrect, at least regarding the funding of the guaranteed minimum $value of the rewards per GB for deployers: Here's why: ... ⬇️

Couple more shots of the Swedish PM visiting ICA and getting a @CactusXR demo. 🇸🇪
Modernizing every part of the supply chain is a national interest. For everyday consumers, the supply chain ends in the grocery store. In this picture, the @SwedishPM gets a demonstration of @Auki’s AI copilot @CactusXR for retail by store owner Johan Westlund, ICA Kvantum Värnamo. Worth reposting, as so many people just don't understand that burning $HNT is required in order to send cellular traffic over any Helium powered hotspot. This has ALWAYS been how it's worked.
Helium Mobile is an MVNO, a consumer cellular product. subscribers pay in fiat currency and get a phone number, a SIM card, etc the Helium Network is a network of community owned Hotspots that serve cellular traffic for multiple carriers including AT&T, Telefonica, and also Helium Mobile. Hotspot operators get paid in $HNT burned by the carriers for that traffic Helium Mobile got sold. The Helium Network and $HNT continue on as before

when we first launched Helium Mobile, there wasn’t a single offload user on the @helium network. it was a great way to grow the network and prove out our thesis that WiFi offload for carriers was genuinely useful, and valuable now the network serves millions of people daily from multiple carriers. I’m excited to see the focus back on $HNT, network growth and international expansion going forward congrats to @AndrewYang and the entire @joinnoblemobile team today!
🚨 Big news: Helium Mobile has been acquired by @andrewyang's @joinnoblemobile Noble Mobile shares our core belief that connectivity should be affordable and accessible for every American. By joining forces, we can deliver on that promise for more people than either of us could alone, with an unrelenting commitment to putting money back in your pocket. As part of the deal, Noble Mobile will also use the Helium Network, expanding coverage for all of its subscribers across the US. Current Helium Mobile subscribers: your phone number and service aren't going anywhere. We've built this transition to be seamless, with the same nationwide 5G and Helium Network coverage you experience today. Full details: blog.heliummobile.com/noble

This is actually a pretty interesting convergence of telecom infrastructure and crypto incentives. If Helium’s decentralized network model can be integrated into a more mainstream mobile service, it could quietly become one of the first real examples of blockchain tech embedded into everyday consumer utilities rather than just speculative finance.

Still not over this. Major US carrier subscribers connecting to Helium in Mexico. Deployers getting paid. No towers, just people-built coverage. We're just getting started. 🌎
One of the top US carriers now lets its subscribers roam onto the Helium Network when they travel to Mexico 🇲🇽! And local deployers with Hotspots? They get paid for connecting them. No new towers. No massive infrastructure spend. Just people-built coverage.

Just read "The DePIN Phenomenon", a research paper published in ICT Express. Probably one of the most thorough academic deep dives into DePIN I've come across so far. The core idea is that DePIN could become a new way to build and coordinate real world infrastructure, replacing centralized companies with community owned networks running on blockchain incentives. A few numbers from the paper that stuck with me: ▪️ Total DePIN sector valuation: $50B ▪️ $500M in annual recurring revenue ▪️ 5.47M active devices across 196 countries ▪️ Project growth: ~100 in 2022 → 1,170 in 2024 → 2,381 by mid-2025 ▪️ Institutional capital: $100M from a16z, Multicoin, EV3 and others Instead of centralized companies controlling compute, storage, wireless, mapping, AI and sensor infrastructure, these networks are built and operated by distributed participants around the world. Projects like @rendernetwork, @bittensor, @helium, @GEODNET, @Hivemapper, @origin_trail, @Theta_Network and many more are referenced throughout the paper. Worth a read if you are interested in DePIN and the future of community owned infrastructure.

It’s time to talk about @GEODNET again. In the past I called it a gem. Now? It’s still a gem, but honestly, it’s been fading a bit with time. And that’s exactly why I’m speaking up again. In my opinion, this is the best DePIN project. Yes, even bigger than @helium(I was there when HNT was on fire, printing dollars day after day). Those were glorious times. But GeoDNet is different. A while back, @vaneck_us and some other VCs put out an article predicting $GEOD token could hit $8 in a few years. At the time, it sounded bold. Now? I’m starting to understand why. Let me break down the numbers, because the math is beautiful. Today: ~22,000 active miners Each producing ~12 $GEOD per day That’s 264,000 GEOD daily → around $35k sell pressure per day Normally, that kind of sell pressure would crush a token. So how does project survive? Data sales 🤑🤑 This year alone: $10 million in data revenue. 80% of that ($8 MLN) went directly into buybacks and burns. Now do the math: $35k daily sell pressure × 365 days = ~$13 million in yearly sell pressure Buyback/burn this year = $8 million Shortfall = ~$3 million And guess what? The token went from $0.20–0.25 down to ~$0.13. The numbers match perfectly. But here’s where it gets exciting. The halving is coming. Sell pressure gets cut in half → from $13M to ~$6.5M per year. Meanwhile, buybacks stay at $8/10M if data sales continue. That leaves $2/4M in excess buy pressure every year. That’s not balance. That’s imbalance, in the right direction. So yeah, I expect a reversal. A pretty fast move back above $0.20. And if data keeps selling well? Parabolic over time. This isn't a meme coin. This is fundamentals. This is revenue-backed crypto. Also, I know the team personally. @mikeahorton & @mvrender … these aren’t just “high level” guys. They’re top tier. I’ve worked with them. Seen how they think, how they execute. I’m currently mining with 3 of my own miners managing another 40 hosts. If you’re not mining yet… maybe it’s time to start. GEODNET is waking up. Don’t sleep on it. #DEPIN #SOLANA

I think this is quite wrong. Why would reducing costs be a negative to revenue growth? I have never heard that argument with respect to a new technology. Tech is about better, faster, cheaper == bigger and broader markets. Networks, compute, storage, sensing ... all these things have come massively down in cost and at the same time total market has grown hugely. Physical AI is going to pump this trend to the moon. Growth in drones, robots, etc is going to exceed every prediction. @GEODNET is growing at light speed by historical comparisons in our Space. We hitting $10M ARR within two years of a reasonable scaled usable network. It is fast. Meanwhile, we return 80% of fees to token holders which demonstrates the inherit efficiency that decentralization brings with hard token mechanics. The design cycle of a new car is 5 years. The 3G to 4G transition took a decade. SpaceX took 13 years to land a reusable rocket. We built and started monetization of the largest precision infra network in <3 years and people complaining about slow growth. Silly. Comparing a business like GEODNET to a perps casino, a prediction market, or a pet rock coin is really the root cause problem... Maybe those are great businesses, I don't care. If US Capital markets continue focus on this kind of crap, the US is going to find its capital markets irrelevant in the future. Hard tech = hard power, and I think everyone waking up to that these days. These business are neither quick or easy, but they are the only businesses that will matter long term.

The Independent, the UK's biggest commercial digital news publisher, with almost 34 million monthly US readers, recently cited our data and featured our live GPS spoofing map. The same network tracking commercial flights is now surfacing intelligence that matters to media, researchers and policymakers. We're also building the layer that makes this data queryable and actionable. More on that soon. 👀
