The scissors in the hands of Ugratara has only one purpose - to cut off attachments, circumstances, people, things etc which are not useful to or act as hindrance one's true growth, because the journey upwards is always a path to be carved out alone. Success is not a matter of words but something abundantly visible around the upasaka, if one has to claim success too often, then it means nothing really has been achieved. Lahiri Mahasaya used to say success in sadhana is like the opening of a flower, bees will automatically come flocking.
She is also superbly competent in destruction of enemies of the upasaka. This too I've seen many times. Only difficulty is maintaining singular-attachment, even when things will be tough and tests will be uncompromising. Who passes that, gets richly rewarded with crowning glories of both spiritual and (if so destined) material nature. Who fails, may languish or fall back. It is not a one day thing but only months or year(s) later on see the true results - one way or other.
Always.
