Happy #volunteerappreciation Day! 🌟 For the past 22 years that #FarmSmart has been around, we have been able to create amazing programs because of our volunteers! To our past and present volunteers, thank you for all you do for our community!
Thank you to all the schools who brought their classes to explore Vegetable Adventures! Students and Staff from around the Imperial Valley were able to learn what plants need to grow. They discussed where our water comes from, different soil types, and where seeds come from!
“#FarmSmart is a reminder to kids that they come from a place that feeds most of the country throughout the year. It's something to be proud of,” said Stacey Amparano, @UCFarmSmart Program Manager @UCANRDREC.
