Omaha got a little rain with all of the wind on Wednesday night! USGS crews were up the following morning to sample stream sites as part of a study looking at nutrients, metals, and PFAS compounds in stormwater.

Meet the newest member of the NEWSC, Jace Kaminski! Jace’s research and work experience is wide in range, but is primarily related to water resources, geophysics, and data analysis. He will be working as a Physical Scientist specializing in geophysics and groundwater modeling.

Papio NRD crews were busy early this morning building a temporary levee closure section over the BNSF tracks at the Highway 370 bridge in Bellevue in anticipation of rising waters. Huge, thanks to our partners for working so quickly to help get the structure up.
