Some spend more money on their tailgating setup than they do on their first car. Thousands of people gather in a sea of pickup trucks and recreational vehicles to grill burgers, drink copious amounts of beer, play cornhole, and debate whether a 19-year-old quarterback can save the season. The game is almost secondary. In some places, 100,000 people show up to watch college students play football. And another 20,000 never even enter the stadium. They’re just there for the tailgate. In Buffalo they jump off buses and snow piles onto folding tables. In Wisconsin they drink more beers than a white girl on her 21st birthday… before the game America looked at a patch of asphalt and said: “You know what this needs?” A barbecue festival. Every Saturday. For 100 years. 🇺🇸

So while they see our cultural and natural icons, they are mostly in blue cities and they therefore also see the decline, the homeless, the drugs, the dirt and the rude, rude Americans. But Freddy is not doing that. Freddy is driving, and he’s doing it through the heartland, where people are kind and polite, the skies are wide open, and the bounty of Buc-ees and Bass Pro Shops are overwhelming. Freddy is not seeing fentanyl and decline. He is seeing the real, hopeful, patriotic, kind America that European tourists rarely traverse. And he loves it. That’s why Freddy is a phenomenon.

Wow never saw this before. I did research years ago and the school had been closed due to asbestos for a few years. Used the way back Time Machine to Confirm the website had been dormant for a few years until the shooting was shown and then it had activity.
