Just occurred to me that Anthropic employees who are not US persons will not be able to use Fable/Mythos, making this plausibly (and to be clear, accidentally) the first regulation on recursive self-improvement.
If this is true, it is just baffling. An administration whose posture is that we *should* export advanced AI chips to China, which also wants to ban… Britain (and every other non-American on Earth)… from using our best models? I have no words.

Very excited to be heading to Michigan to host an Electricity Customer Alliance Power Affordability Roundtable! I'll be having a fireside chat with Associate Deputy Secretary of Energy Alex Fitzsimmons (U.S. DOE), followed by a panel roundtable discussion. Link in next post. 1/

Finally, the X1.0 flare (2026-06-03 11:19). Again, I thought the eruption was not too disruptive, and the CME did not go beyond the ecliptic (based on STEREO COR2 science data).

This shift is happening. If enterprises continue to aggressively repatriate their AI workloads, the value capture shifts primarily to these three areas: 1. Outcome-Based Software (NOW, TEAM) 2. Edge Silicon Components (NVDA, QCOM, MU) 3. Distributed Infrastructure (DELL)
Local inference not looking so crazy anymore now that companies are revolting over token spend

Reminder: PJM had proposed a six month delay in conducting that auction to allow time for large loads and supply resources to engage in bilateral contracting, which is the most direct way to avoid risk to other customers. This was the start of a needed pathway to BYOG. 2/

Is this another case of a neighboring coronal hole serving as a bumper and deflecting a CME away from Earth? It appears so! Coronagraph imagery is messy due to the simultaneous eruptions, but it appears that material associated with AR4455's M3 flare has been deflected mostly away from Earth. I think the very faint wisp of material north and south of the more prominent eruption (associated with the east limb filament eruption) is associated with the M3 flare eruption. This aligns with the direction of movement seen in disk imagery. Models still need to be run (good luck with that mess), but I suspect it's possible a weak portion hitches a ride with the fast solar wind stream from the coronal hole. Also good luck with that forecast. Time will tell in the coming days as we are already expecting active conditions on the 3rd due to the coronal hole influence.

Built this 3D-printed VTOL fixed-wing aircraft from scratch. The airframe is made from ABS/ASA, reinforced with carbon fiber, and powered by an F405 flight controller with GPS-assisted flight modes. Seeing a pile of parts turn into a flying aircraft is always worth the effort. 🚁➡️✈️

“If you can design consumption that meets the generation, now you’re monetizing all of that power that’s being generated for the benefit of the community, for the benefit of the utility, because that revenue would otherwise go unrealized.” $CLSK CEO and Chairman @smatthewschultz spoke on a panel at this year’s @TheBitcoinConf to discuss how HPC and Bitcoin mining are transforming energy markets. The White House gave the green light on March 18 for foreign-flagged tankers to move crude oil and refined products between U.S. ports by waiving the Jones Act. In less than two months, about 60 waivers have been recorded. Today, we’ll dig into the new patterns that have emerged. rbnenergy.com/daily-posts/bl…
