Great to see work starting on the Brooklyn Bridge bike lane redesign. I’m begging @nyc_dot to please hang the No Pedestrian signs that are on the other bridge bike lanes but are inexplicably absent here. I will personally write a check for parts and labor, @nick_benson @vinbarone

Incredible chutzpah by @bradhoylman to cite loading zones as the reason a @NYCBikeLanes can’t be installed on Chambers St. when those very zones are blocked 24/7 by @placardabuse and city employees, forcing trucks to stop in the street to make deliveries.
Manhattan politicians called Chambers “less suitable” because of the alleged narrowness of “the available roadbed” and the fact that Chambers is an “existing truck route.”

There are at least 8 NYPD cars with 2 officers on their phones sitting in each 24/7 surrounding 26 Fed Plaza 2 blocks from City Hall despite no protest activity for months and a historically large DHS budget. Lighting money on fire.
