Basis Universal v2.0, our GPU supercompressed texture library, is now live on GitHub. This update adds full ASTC LDR and supercompressed XUASTC LDR (supporting all 14 ASTC block sizes) with Weight Grid DCT, and new real-time Analytical BC7/ETC1 encoders. github.com/BinomialLLC/basis…

@_binomial just released github.com/BinomialLLC/basis… XUASTC ❤️: all ASTC Block sizes finally on the web, once support lands in the big web 3D libraries like @mrdoob's Three.js. I constantly fight VRAM building stuff like mymachine.dmgmori.com, older iPhones have very strict limits

This version focuses on achieving very high quality while still being universally compressed across HDR GPUs-- a new milestone for HDR. Do you care more about small texture size in HDR? Just sit tight, we got you too, there may be something coming for you later this year. 👀
