Three Wisconsin dairy farmers have filed suit, represented by @WILawLiberty At the center of the complaint is the plaintiffs’ contention that mandatory producer assessments are funding a network of organizations and programs focused on environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals rather than increasing dairy sales and consumption. Farmers are speaking up. New survey from the American Dairy Coalition shows: • 77% say GHG data collection isn’t truly voluntary • 80% don’t trust how their data is handled • 92% receive no compensation 100% say they should control their own data.

CALL TO ACTION: Dairy farmers are urged to submit comments ASAP, asking USDA to extend the request for input by 60 days! USDA gave no true notice other than putting it in the Federal Register on 2/27/26. Comments close 3/30/26. Yesterday was fun! Dawkins didn’t wrestle of course, but he was proud to wear Dad’s medal. MAWA medals to regionals for all. This is the first time Ryan wrestled MAWA since he was in his 30s in 2019 when he was champion section and regional and runner-up in super tight match at Eastern Nationals. Giving it a go again in open competition at 41. Champion yesterday at first level. Had mom here worked up. Connor and Mason also prevailed along with their friends and teammates doing the off-season. #gottalovewrestling

First time in history CME spot nonfat dry milk price ($1.8450/lb) ABOVE butter ($1.7925/lb) — flipping the value relationship between skim and fat. Plus, NFDM has traded above 40-lb cheddar blocks ($1.6475/lb today) for at least the past 6 weeks, now by 20 cents. That’s significant, cheddar drives protein value in milk check, while NFDM represents solids-not-fat. Federal pricing formulas aren’t designed to translate the flipped script very well. Hard to believe I've been doing the Milk Market Moos column in Farmshine 25 years & weekly for 20 years. TIME FLIES (p.s. More proof that vendors charging schools 8 to 13 cents per half-pint extra for whole milk (3.25% fat) vs. 1% or fat free are price-gouging kids; should be a penny or two at most).
