Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Birth Anniversary Celebrations at the University of Hyderabad On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, commemorative celebrations were held at the University of Hyderabad. On this occasion, @gowdkiran the National President of the All India OBC Students Association urged the Union Government to take the following measures: 1.Officially observe the birth and death anniversaries of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule at the national level. 2.Confer the Bharat Ratna on both Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule in recognition of their unparalleled contributions to social justice and education. 3.Establish “Phule Centres” in all universities to promote the empowerment and advancement of Backward Classes. 4.Rename the National Fellowship for OBCs (NFOBC) in honour of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and increase the number of fellowships from 1,000 to 10,000. These demands reflect the continued commitment to advancing the ideals of social justice, equality, and educational empowerment championed by the Phules.

50% ceiling is a hurdle for OBC reservations, but not for 10% EWS reservation. Is this justice? When OBCs seek proportional representation, the 50% cap is invoked. But for EWS reservation, the same ceiling was set aside through the 103rd Constitutional Amendment. #OBCReservations

I have prepared these two choropleth maps on the OBC and EWS reservation Percentages, given to these two categories across various states in India. Data have been used, which are made public by @PIB_India. It is interesting to note that the OBC reservation was implemented in 1993, yet there are many parts where OBC reservation is @ 0%, and the map also is coming up colorful ( which means even today, many states have not implemented OBC reservation @ 27 %). Interestingly, on the other hand, we have the EWS reservation, which was implemented ( with violation of constitutional provision ) in 2019 only. EWS map is coming up with a single colour (Almost every corner of India has implemented EWS reservation @ 10%), with the exception of Tamil Nadu and Chhattisgarh.

We declare the Jana Sena Party (JSP) an upper-caste-dominated party and would like to donate a copy of the Indian Constitution to Pawan Kalyan, so that he may at least now begin to implement the principles of social justice within his party. @PawanKalyan @JanaSenaParty Members of Parliament (Lok Sabha) * Tangella Uday Srinivas – Kapu (OC) * Vallabhaneni Balashowry – Kapu (OC) Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) * Lingamaneni Ramesh – Kamma (OC) Ministers * Pawan Kalyan – Kapu (OC) * Kandula Durgesh – Kapu (OC) * Nadendla Manohar – Kamma (OC) Where is the representation for BCs, SCs, STs, Minorities, and other marginalized communities in the party’s top leadership and elected positions? Social justice must be reflected not only in speeches but also in political representation.

‘Kalaignar’ M. Karunanidhi spent his life fighting for the dignity of the Tamil people, for social justice, and for the rights of the marginalised. Not just a Chief Minister - he was a writer, a poet, a thinker. He believed in a Constitution that treats every Indian as equal. My humble tributes on his birth anniversary.
