Our lab is expanding and hiring both a postdoc and staff scientist! We study how metabolism and cell cycle states drive tumor progression, therapy response, and immune interactions. Philly is a great place to live and do research! See more at: airdlab.com.

Happy to share melPDomiX, a new multi-omics resource for late-stage melanoma. Integrating genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and clinical data, we map mutation impacts and identify candidate drivers of tumor biology and therapeutic response. sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

Excited to share the second paper from our lab! We found that intercellular crosstalk in TME amplifies IL-1β signaling to drive chemoresistance in metastatic ovarian cancer. Should IL-1β pathway antagonists be considered as part of neoadjuvant therapy? jitc.bmj.com/content/14/6/e0…

Targeting Metabolic Mechanism Restores Chemotherapy Sensitivity in Ovarian Cancer The data showed elevated levels of the metabolite αKG improved #DNArepair, and blocking it made #cancercells more sensitive to treatment @airdlab @TheWistar #ovariancancer hubs.li/Q04jnqy_0

Amazing work from the @airdlab showing the importance of aKG for histone acetylation, rather than its more canonical role as a TCA cycle intermediate and cofactor for demethylation reactions! Kudos to all the authors!
It's time to rewrite reviews-aKG doesn't just regulate demethylation. Work from my lab and @mzspectrum demonstrates a new role for aKG in promoting histone acetylation and DNA repair through regulating carnitine synthesis. Congrats @ApoorvaUboveja! nature.com/articles/s41586-0…

We sincerely appreciate Sen. Durbin's long-standing commitment and leadership in championing sustained and robust annual funding increases for lifesaving medical research, and AACR is a strong advocate for this legislation.

The AACR strongly supports the passage of Sen. Durbin's American Cures Act, which would establish vital increases in federal investments in biomedical research with annual 5% real growth for the @NIH and other federal agencies. brnw.ch/21x2qWC

We are well-funded and have a strong track record of publications (including a recently accepted paper in Nature), trainee funding, and supporting the career goals of all lab members. There are also opportunities for co-mentorship!
