Did climate cooling shape human intelligence?
If colder environments selected for traits linked to cognition, then locations that experienced major cooling over the previous millennium should show rising educational-attainment (EA) polygenic scores.
The first model said no.
The second model changed everything.
Cooling predicted higher EA genetics. Warming showed no equivalent effect.
The result isn't definitive, but it suggests the relationship between climate and human evolution may be more asymmetric than we thought.
