The story is even more alarming when you read the whole thing. A normal American president would be rallying the G7 today to confront the Russians on this and all the incidents Putin has been efforting to destabilize the West. Alas…
🚨 BREAKING: The BBC has revealed the Russian Government was behind the arson attacks on Keir Starmer's home and car

About 8 years ago Syracuse was at a crossroads. Either 1) Become the de facto big state school for NY and become affordable for at least in state residents or 2) Become a “premium luxury” institution that thinks families equate price tag with quality They chose two and still have time to revector and pick 1

This is beyond ludicrous. Why the hell are U.S. Marines and soldiers saluting a UFC fighter? The military swears an oath to the Constitution, not celebrities, influencers, or the latest personality cult. Watching service members rendered as props for a UFC spectacle is beneath the dignity of the uniform and beneath the dignity of the country.
Community note
These service members are saluting Medal of Honor recipient Ty Carter, who is walking with the UFC fighter. By tradition, all U.S. military personnel salute Medal of Honor recipients regardless of rank. mohmuseum.org/medal-recipien… army.mil/medalofhonor/c…

Emil Bove told career prosecutors: sign this motion and you'll be promoted. The person who signed now runs the section. Bove told Congress he didn't do that. Barrett has the recording. Barrett talked to people who watched Bove testify. They believed he wasn't telling the truth.

Again to be clear they stopped counting deaths at 800,000 in December 2025. It is well over a million now

2026 is the first year in 18 years in which there are zero female active duty four-star generals. Pete Hegseth has been intervening in military promotions & fighting the military’s leaders in firing & denying promotions to women. The military promotions board – including its Trump-appointed director – selected 31 officers for promotion as “the best qualified officers within their respective competitive category.” Those 31 included seven women. Nine total promotions were cancelled by Hegseth: all seven women & two black men. Not one white man was removed.

If you can’t tax billionaires and trillionaire because “its unrealized gains until they cash out,” then stop letting them leverage that wealth for loans, as collateral, or as equity. If it’s not real enough to tax, it shouldn’t be real enough to leverage. This is why we say the system is rigged in favor of the super wealthy. Abolish billionaires, tax them out of existence, protect working people.

Elizabeth Warren’s proposed 3% tax on people with over $100M in wealth would generate $30B in revenue each year on Elon Musk’s fortune alone. That’s about how much the US spends each year on affordable housing subsidies. Tax. The. Rich.

It is difficult to overstate just how dumb, ignorant, stupid, the people who currently govern the United States are. Here is the Homeland Security Secretary claiming that the unionists & loyalists in *Northern* Ireland ‘want to be Irish’ & want to be in Ireland. Pure ignorance.
Kilmeade to an agreeing Markwayne Mullin: "In Belfast they're standing up because their leaders have let them down. They're trying to take their country back. They want to label them as racist. All they want to be is Irish. They want Ireland back. And that is what we've been saying for the longest time. I see a lot of the same fights here."

If Bernie's 5% annual wealth tax on billionaires had been enacted in 2012, Elon Musk would be worth less than $365 billion instead of the $1.2 trillion that he's worth today. Elon would still be the wealthiest man alive & every family in America would have universal childcare.

Can’t stop thinking about how Wall Street is celebrating Elon Musk becoming the world’s first trillionaire, while he single handedly eliminated humanitarian aid that will lead to the needless deaths of 4.5 million of the poorest children in the world in the next 4 years.

#BREAKING: Carol Leonnig: “…what we were hearing last night…was that the Ohio Organizing Collaborative…one of its offices in Cleveland was targeted and raided by FBI agents yesterday. In addition to that, what we learned was that a series of FBI agents were fanning out across the state…to interview people and approach them at their homes, who had worked as volunteers registering voters, or as canvassers for the collaborative, and those interviews, if you can call them that, were conducted often WITHOUT warrants…So FBI agents were essentially just going into people’s homes and saying we’d like to ask you a few questions, which is NOT how the FBI normally investigates these kinds of matters…their great concern is that this is part of a larger Trump administration effort to basically target swing states and to target pro democracy organizations who might register Democratic voters, or help them register to vote, and question and sow distrust in those swing states in the integrity of the elections.” 😳

Hegseth removed Chappie James's portrait from the Air Force Art Gallery and left the wall empty. James flew 179 combat missions across two wars. First Black four-star general in US military history. Curry passed that portrait every day for a decade. When it came down, he retired. The wall is still empty.
Sec. Hegseth’s actions continue to be despicable – and they certainly aren’t representative of the Army I served in. We’ve repeatedly seen how this White House has disparaged and mistreated both active-duty service members and the veterans who raised their hand to serve this country. I’m glad that people are continuing to stand up and speak out. theatlantic.com/magazine/202…

This isn’t making enough news. Cities and states are suing oil companies, alleging they knew about climate dangers and hid them. Those cases go before federal judges. Meanwhile, a center at George Mason University’s Scalia School of Law has been hosting expense-paid seminars for those same federal judges. Who funds the center? ExxonMobil, the Charles Koch Foundation, and others connected to the very companies being sued. The center even told a funder its goal was giving judges “skepticism” about the science behind the lawsuits they hear. Who spoke at these closed-door seminars? Chris Wright, then a fracking CEO, now Trump’s Energy Secretary, sharing his skepticism about climate change. His own company was suing the government over climate rules at the time. So, imagine you’re a referee in a championship game. Before the game, one of the teams pays for you to attend a fancy retreat where their coach explains why the other team’s strategy is illegitimate. Would anyone trust your calls? That’s essentially what’s happening here. theguardian.com/us-news/2026…
