In 1991, David Lynch showed the world the alienation and innate horror of a dirty street, directing this unforgettable anti-littering ad for the City of New York. RIP to a visionary filmmaker and a pioneer of the Trash Revolution.

Internet video is for sports highlights, listening to songs on Youtube, and sending Simpsons clips to your Zoomer coworker. Otherwise, online is for text.

Totally unscientific, but here's the engagement numbers on yesterday's rectums post on Twitter and Bsky. Given how it buries links, if you use social media to share your work—or just to find good things to read—Twitter is basically useless at this point.

A quick reminder from baby Jet: Time to drink some water! While mom Jade is still nursing Jet, he is learning how to drink water using his trunk! You can even see him (and hear him) blowing bubbles with his trunk!

One video that was going around showed a bunch of lights ā€œhoveringā€. Someone sped up the video and it’s a landing stack at JFK lol reddit.com/r/UFOs/s/FXkHu9vb…

A rule of life that has always worked for me here, and I’ve lived here since birth: Never wait on line for anything. Ever. Not even if you really want it.
This part is mainly about white nyc but universal points made too . NYC lost its spontaneity post covid in a lotta ways

The beauty of the city is the sheer number of options. I promise you there are lots of things as good or better than the thing people are lining up for.

I’d be such a shitty GM. I’d operate entirely on sentiment. I’d resign everyone until they retire and never make a trade.
Among the teams I’ve heard have talked to the NYR about Jacob Trouba include Detroit, Ottawa, Buffalo, Columbus. We’ll see what happens today, but Trouba has known for some time this was a strong possibility. Crazy to see it go down this way.

I gave her the last of the turkey, and showed her very clearly that there was no more, but she refuses to accept it. Please help
My cat has been *lunging* inside the fridge every time the door opens because she can now identify the turkey tupperware by sight. The leftovers run out today and I'm concerned for my safety when they do.

I woke up to her standing on top of me, meowing so loud I thought she was injured. She was not injured. She just wants more fucking turkey. She is so singularly focused, it is almost disturbing. She’s reverted to her feral roots.
