SpaceX raised only $12B of capital before going public. With that $12B, they revolutionized the rocket industry, built a global satellite network, and created arguably the most innovative company of all time. The federal government spends $12B every 15 hours and still can’t get its shit together. Prior to SpaceX, NASA was sending astronauts into space on Soviet-era Russian Soyuz capsules. So no, I don’t find Elon’s wealth to be a problem, and I wouldn’t trust Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders to allocate a single dollar of it.

I’m a traditionalist at my core but after two kids dying within a few months and years of coaching the youth with soft balls, I believe a ball material probably exists that handles and feels like traditional rubber without the lethal impact…All sports evolve and adapt over time.
Why doesn’t ANYONE talk about playing with a softer ball!?!? 🤯🤯

I find the 2 most insufferable group of people on the planet are lifetime educators and lifetime politicians. Both live in a fantasy world that lacks common sense and would not survive a day in the real world

On every metric, American kids are so much dumber than they were 5 years ago and we are grade inflating away the reality.
They just gave up on pretending AP exams are “college level work”

Teddy was always pure class on and off the field. Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure will continue in heaven 🙏🏻
It is with immeasurable sadness that we announce the passing of Coach Ted Wolford. Teddy was a coach, a mentor, a husband, a friend, and will always be- a legend. Please keep his wife Vickie, all of his siblings, and the 3132 family in your thoughts and prayers. …

Fun facts to date the @OHSAASports boys D1 lax breakdown of games. Note that only 2 of the “moderate games” took place between teams seeded within the top 8 & bottom 8 seeds. That was a 8/9 & 7/10 game. Argument could be made for top 6 in & 2 play in games would be dandy.

Physician-owned hospitals are “conflicts of interest.” Health systems employing every primary care doctor in a zip code is “integrated care.” Amazing branding department.

The fact that comically stupid people were able to defraud the U.S. out of BILLIONS just goes to show how horrifically ineffective our government is.

This is a catastrophe. You had a profession that was proud of their work. They would build independent practices, establish themselves in their communities, and work well into their twilight years. Now we are a bunch of w2 employees looking for the exit.
The mean age of physicians who leave clinical practice in the US is now 48.1 years, 9 years younger than observed in a similar cohort in 2008. The biggest causes cited were stress and the hassles of practice. 11% of women decided not to even enter practice. What are your thoughts about this? thepermanentejournal.org/doi…

Milton Friedman on why medical care costs so much in the US: “Most payments for medicine are third-party payments. The insurance company pays. The government pays.” “As a result, everybody is spending everybody else’s money. And nobody spends somebody else’s money as carefully as he spends his own.”

It took them 60 years to figure out that if you give a bunch of free stuff to poor people, you create more dependent poor people.

Jeff Bezos was born in Alberquerque to a 17 year old high school mom who divorced his alcoholic dad before Jeff was 2. He worked at McDonald's before his grades earned his way into Princeton. He started Amazon in a garage with a 245k investment from his parents. That's reality.

To people who ask why there aren’t more arrests or what’s happening with the fraud in Minnesota.... Minnesota is protecting the fraudsters because they are IN ON the fraud.

We all agree that these are donezo the minute one accidentally pops open during a game, right?
