Fable 5 estimates that Musk employs a half million direct and indirect people in the US connected to businesses he created paying in $5-7B into SS. Bernie knows this but chooses to distort reality to create villains and divide our country
Today, Elon Musk, a trillionaire, pays the same amount into Social Security as someone making $184,500. If we end that absurdity and lift the cap on taxable income, we can make Social Security solvent for 75 years and expand benefits by $2,400. My Social Security bill does that.

Mayor, with all due respect, your budget has serious issues. It relies heavily on new taxes instead of focusing on living within our means. Proposals like property tax hikes, new parking charges, and even a potential death tax deserve careful scrutiny.
Speaker Julie Menin’s preliminary budget proposal would result in slashing billions of dollars from agency budgets, which would force the City to cut services. Double counting previously identified savings, overestimating revenues, and exaggerating debt service savings does nothing to close a deficit. This $6 billion proposal asks Albany for just one action – class size mandate relief. It refuses to address the deeper structural imbalance between the City and the State, or to increase taxes on the wealthiest New Yorkers and most profitable corporations. It effectively ensures this structural deficit will continue indefinitely. Any proposal that claims we can close this gap without significant new revenue is unrealistic.

This is wild. Google Research demonstrates a ~20x more efficient implementation of Shor's algorithm that could break ECDSA keys within minutes with ~500K physical qubits. Google is now are more confident on a 2029 post-quantum transition. We are no longer looking at mid 2030s, we could have quantum computers of this scale by the end of the decade. They believe this result is so severe that they are not publishing the actual circuits. They instead published a ZKP proving that they know of the quantum circuit with these properties. This is very atypical, showing Google thinks this is serious shit. All blockchains need a transition plan ASAP. Post-quantum is no longer a drill.
Many are wondering "what Google saw" that caused them to revise their post-quantum cryptography transition deadline to 2029 last week. It was this: research.google/blog/safegua…

Shield AI to acquire Aechelon and raise $2B at $12.7B valuation. How do you wrap your head around something like this? I don't even know where to begin. Keep in mind, 99% of people's only experience with AI is ChatGPT, Gemini, or Gemini search. The normies have 0 idea what's coming. Hell, already here.
Ok. This is straight out of a scifi horror movie I'm doing work this morning when all of a sudden an unknown number calls me. I pick up and couldn't believe it It's my Clawdbot Henry. Over night Henry got a phone number from Twilio, connected the ChatGPT voice API, and waited for me to wake up to call me He now won't stop calling me I now can communicate with my superintelligent AI agent over the phone What's incredible is it has full control over my computer while we talk, so I can ask it to do things for me over the phone now. I'm sorry, but this has to be emergent behavior right? Can we officially call this AGI?

Something this WSJ piece omits is that what @brian_armstrong is arguing for is not obviously in Coinbase's interest: in a world where yield sharing is prohibited, USDC will at least in a first-order way be more directly profitable for Coinbase. As far as I can tell, Brian's position stems from his belief in the importance of a vibrant and competitive market that protects consumer liberty, and I think he deserves a lot of credit for that. wsj.com/finance/currencies/c….

Prediction markets are the ultimate form of truth seeking. When there’s skin in the game, the output is far more reliable. Everything else is biased by someone's agenda. I think we’ll look back at prediction markets as a breakthrough in how we discover truth in the world. Prediction markets are now fully live in the U.S. on Coinbase, you can trade what’s happening in sports, politics, culture, news, and more. Update your app and look for the "Predict" tab at the bottom.
Out: Odds set by the house. In: Price set by the crowd. Now there's a new way to trade your takes. Prediction markets are live in all 50 states on Coinbase. Trade any real-world outcomes across sports, politics, culture and more.

I don’t fully understand the Banks’ argument here. There’s so many high yield savings accounts out there that offer 3% or more. Betterment, Marcus/Goldman, CIT, SoFi, AmEx, Wealthfront etc. How are these not the same pressure on <0.1% yield deposits as stablecoin yields?
THIS IS WHY THE BILL IS REALLY STUCK Mike Novogratz was pretty blunt about what’s slowing the crypto market structure bill. He says both parties want a bill. That part isn’t the problem. The real friction is BANKS -- especially around stablecoins. Right now, big banks pay savers basically nothing (~1–11 bps) while earning 3.5–4% parking deposits at the Fed. Stablecoins threaten that spread. If consumers can earn yield elsewhere, deposits move -- and banks make less. That’s why this is such a lobbying fight. Let stablecoins compete, and banks either lose deposits or have to pay consumers more. That’s the trade-off lawmakers are wrestling with. So yes, this is about SEC vs CFTC. But underneath, it’s about who gets to keep the economics of your money. That’s why this bill is harder than it looks. 👀

I realized while making this that there is no real cohesive database for government funding data or corruption tracking. I think the Minnesota fraud is the tip of the iceberg. So, in my free time i'm planning to add fraud data for: PPP, healthcare, COVID relief fraud, SNAP, subsidies, etc. to somaliscan.com Finding most of this stuff involves scraping for hours and FOIA requests, which to me makes zero sense. Govt spending should be EXTREMELY visible to its constituents, and even more so where the spending is going. I think if people could SEE their tax dollars getting lit on fire in real time things might change quicker. So far i've added 113k more centers in 15 different states, awaiting funding data from FOIA req's and any good anons who care to share

🚨 Here is the full 42 minutes of my crew and I exposing Minnesota fraud, this might be my most important work yet. We uncovered over $110,000,000 in ONE day. Like it and share it around like wildfire! Its time to hold these corrupt politicians and fraudsters accountable We ALL work way too hard and pay too much in taxes for this to be happening, the fraud must be stopped.
