Nairobi needs to shift from trying to solve every mobility challenge with flyovers, wider roads, and elevated highways to investing in fast and reliable public transport.
Kenyatta Avenue viaduct is set to transform city travel; creating an elevated corridor, it will ease CBD congestion & allow uninterrupted traffic and cut commute times. It also boosts safety by separating through traffic from local vehicles and pedestrians.@Roads_KE @KeNHAKenya

Several months back, Museveniโs brutal son posted that, "......Besigye will only leave prison in two ways. Either in his coffin after we hang him or shoot him or on his knees apologising to Mzee [Museveni]."
Yesterday, Dr. Besigye and his colleague Hajj Obeid Lutale's fourth bail application was denied! Cry beloved country. The judiciary, like all other institutions, has been completely emasculated. We have an opportunity to press the RESET BUTTON on our country in 16 days and put an end to this suffering.

An employer has been ordered to pay Kshs. 169,953.95 for years of underpaying her house help.The employer paid her an average monthly salary of Kshs. 6,000 instead of the minimum wage of 10,954.70.
Minimum wage is NOT a suggestion.
Domestic workers deserve dignity and the court just reminded employers.

Passengers are suffering in Nairobi when commuting to and from work. I saw pax standing for over 2 hours at a matatu terminus not knowing when the next bus would come by. @KURAroads @InteriorKE @MOH_Kenya @TransportKE @WilliamsRuto let's engage and organize #OurPublicTransport
ALT This is a terminus in downtown Nairobi. Passengers stood waiting for matatus for over 4 hours. It was at 21:00hrs and I imagined many came from work at around 18:00hrs only to find no buses at the terminal. I also thought that many are parents with children to bond with at home after work and in the morning they were expected to report to their respective hustles without getting late. Think of mental health, think of pollution, mental and work stress, lack of enough rest and sleep, unpredictable fares - we are bound to intensively discuss this issue of public transport with all stakeholders to see how we can improve the existing system. In the picture there were some women with children, a pregnant woman and persons abled differently and thanks to nature because there was no rain. Someone come in and intervene for the safety of passengers in #OurPublicTransport

We used the 2019 Uber data to assess the traffic in Nairobi during the School term and during School Holidays. We presented it at The Univ. Of Cape Town during the African Transport Research Conference and then after a patient wait we got published.

Do I need @KenyaGovernors officials cell phone number? If I have any thing that needs @ntsa_kenya attention, I find it prudent to visit their offices or use the official communication channels, however slow they could be. Other ways used lead to CORRUPTION!
