One useful idea from the Claude Code analysis: Context compression is treated like infrastructure. The analysis describes a 5-layer stack:   • trim old history   • micro-compact old tool output   • collapse redundant context into summaries   • auto-compact when token pressure rises   • trigger reactive compact when things actually break That’s a very different mindset from just keep sending the chat history until the window fills up.
