Why we should never use biometrics for proof of humanity -
You cannot rekey biometrics if stolen or leaked. Once compromised, they are permanently compromised.
Everything eventually gets hacked and the consequences of losing immutable personal identifiers are irreversible.
Removing biometrics reduces the risk of these systems being weaponized as mass-surveillance infrastructure.

Outrageous: ICE agents arrested a former U.S. Army interpreter who risked his life aiding American troops in Afghanistan, right after his asylum hearing in San Diego.
The interpreter legally entered the U.S. after the 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan.

20-year-old Adrian Andrew Martinezโs family says he was trying to stand up for someone being harassed by ICE agents in a Pico Rivera parkinglot. The footage shows at least six agents swarming him. He struggles, but doesnโt lay hands on them. Heโs forced to the ground and shoved into a CBP vehicle.
His mom canโt find him. No records. No attorney.
This is an abuse of authority.
