I’m always curious about progressive baseball fans bc that’s totally fine, but if you pay attention to your local baseball culture you’ll see it’s by far the most chudded out sport so why are you surprised when the pros are also chuds?
From @TheAthletic: On Pride Night, which was supposed to be dedicated to support and belonging, several San Francisco Giants players chose a different focus, writing Bible verses on their caps. nyti.ms/4ot9H9T

This seems to be a common problem with progressives, they get really indignant about the most predictable things.

Yes the people on SNAP are the lumpens that act in all kinds of antisocial ways enshittifying my daily experience whereas Elon’s net worth is his shares in productive companies he’s leading that like grow my 401k. This isn’t hard if you understand he’s not Scrooge McDuck.
Elon Musk is a trillionaire but it’s def the people on SNAP ruining your life

It’s some of the most optimal farmland in the nation you retard. It should stay rural because we all need food.
Given how rare large swaths of flat land are to come by on the California Coast and how dire the state is in need of housing its surprising to me that the Salinas Valley hasn't been developed more its only got 390K people!

Urbanists remain undefeated in not understanding you need to not pave over your most viable food growing parcels. San Francisco is a perfect city, safe harbor surrounded by land useless for agriculture. Leave the Salinas Valley alone.

My real hot take is that the advent of Silicon Valley was a tragedy not because of the technology it brought, but because of the prime fertile land it destroyed with its suburban expansion in the Santa Clara Valley.

To you, food comes from the store.
The number of people who view highly developed and environmentally destructive agricultural land as "nature" in need of preservation is baffling to me.

Stability has been a premium luxury throughout all of human history what the fuck are you talking about? Seriously you idiots don’t know how good you have it.

I knew working class families in California that would have to move every few years just to live in the same city. Which is annoying enough when you're a single grad student but imagine doing it with kids and pets. Stability shouldn't be some premium luxury

The funniest part of being a parent of little kids is how relevant the “we have x at home” meme is.

Every. Fucking. Time. When I take my 3yo grocery shopping with me this type of thing happens.
at the supermarket, i say, “what kind of nuts do you want?”. my son, 4, grabs macadamia nuts. its like $14. im broke (artist). i say, “alright, thats the most expensive kind of nut, really. but if you want me to buy them, i will”. he puts them in the cart. i give them to him for snack for a few days - he never touches them. eventually, i say, “hey buddy, no big deal, but you did ask me to get these expensive nuts for you.” he pauses and then says, “…well, i got them for you”. explain why am i living with a tiny jewish comedian.

A problem I have in life is that I’m comfortable doing the bare minimum required to have a modest lifestyle. I see many of my kids’ friends parents grinding and making more and realize I’m in a much better position to make way more than them but don’t bc I don’t need to.

Then there’s the dude at FAANG pulling in a half a mil a year and I’m not gonna out earn him. But it’s fine. I don’t have the desire to live that life. Idk it’s weird to be fine with modest living in a culture so anathema to it.

I got into real estate development to subsidize my lazy ass, not because I’m pure hustle. I wanted checks every month with a long term vision of paying off the debt and living off the income. It’s a 30 year plan with some sweet present benefits. I’m not about that grind.

It used to be the case that primary school was expected of everyone so at least the whole population had a basic grasp of reading, writing and math but beyond 5-8th grade was more selective to those who could actually hack it and we should bring that back.

Public school where all ”classes” are mixed, good & bad, with same education given to everyone during formative years, with 100 iq teachers, is one of the most asinine ideas that has probably ever been implemented by mortal hands

School should only be mandatory through 8th grade and if you decide to drop out and become and antisocial criminal we just throw you in prison. Let’s stop pretending everybody is worth investing in.

It’s becoming very clear that we’re gonna have to conduct an amphibious invasion of Great Britain and after a Nuremberg style trial against their leaders run their country in a West Germany style way for a generation or so in order to de-gay race communism their people.

It’s very likely there’s only a marginal amount of ratfucking going on in CA elections but at the end of the day the amount of time it takes to count the votes in places like CA breed conspiratorial attitude because of the sheer absurdity of how incompetent the gov its.
Why does Trump think taking a long time to count the votes indicates it’s rigged? If you were rigging elections wouldn’t you do that quickly instead of dragging it out?

Like how is anybody voting for these people who can’t even do the basic job of like, counting votes in a timely manner? Of course that’s going to breed conspiracy theories about rigged elections. It’s logical to question the outcomes when the ruling party is that incompetent.
