your brain is always becoming better at whatever you repeatedly do. that’s why repetition changes people more than motivation ever will. if you spend every day stressing, overthinking, comparing yourself to strangers online, replaying old mistakes, and expecting the worst, your brain slowly starts treating those patterns like home. it begins scanning the world for more proof that you’re not enough, that life is against you, that things won’t work out. the scary part is your brain doesn’t care if the pattern is helping you or destroying you. it only cares about what gets repeated. but the same thing works in your favor too. when you repeatedly choose discipline, growth, gratitude, focus, and belief in yourself, your brain slowly reshapes around those things as well. at first it feels unnatural because your old patterns are louder, but over time your perspective changes. challenges stop feeling like signs to quit and start feeling like part of the process. your mind becomes whatever it practices most. so be careful what you keep giving your attention to because eventually, your thoughts become your reality.
Repetitive negative thinking is associated with cognitive decline. Repetition rewires the brain.

you need to be delusionally optimistic negative thinking poisons your brain and leads to congitive decline whereas positive thinking, and gaslighting yourself into thinking everything is amazing, ACTUALLY makes your life amazing too. you must be a silly goose

Always always always respond to bids for connection If not, it’s a done deal
Chemistry is the worst predictor of long-term relationship success and dating apps spent 15 years optimizing for it. John Gottman ran a 40-year couples research program out of the University of Washington. The original study tracked 130 newlyweds and predicted divorce with 93.6% accuracy from observing a single 15-minute disagreement. The variable doing the predicting is contempt frequency. Eye rolls. Sarcastic corrections. Dismissive sighs during conflict. Stable couples maintain a 5:1 ratio of positive to negative interactions during disagreement. Below 1:1, divorce becomes statistically near-certain. Six years after the wedding, couples who stayed together turned toward each other's bids for attention 86% of the time. Couples who divorced did it 33% of the time. The behavior is tiny: asking a question, sharing a thought, looking up when the other person walks in. The signal is enormous. Chemistry measures novelty response and dopamine. It captures how someone behaves when both of you are excited and the lighting is good. By month 18 neither condition holds. Then the predictive behaviors finally surface: how they treat you when they're tired, sick, or losing an argument. Dating apps optimize for the metric with the lowest predictive validity in the entire field. Attraction is what gets you to swipe. Contempt patterns don't show up on a profile.

if only you knew how easy life is when you’re delusional
Literally just having a delusional golden retriever mindset measurably changes outcomes and physiology. Sleep badly? Convince yourself you're well rested. Stressful day? Convince yourself it's fuel. Failed? Convince yourself it's useful data.

i am honestly shocked that singapore is the #1 country in the world in AI usage like dyou know how crazy that is? population of 6m using more AI than USA (300 mm pop)
🇸🇬 Singapore vs 🇮🇩 Indonesia on Claude AI usage — straight from Anthropic’s Economic Index (March 2026). Singapore ranks #1 out of 116 countries with a 5.53x usage index. Indonesia sits at #95 with just 0.30x. That’s a massive 18x gap. In SG 🇸🇬, people use Claude for building/debugging AI systems, advanced scientific research, and professional business analysis. In ID 🇮🇩, the top uses are academic assignments, creative fiction, religious/spiritual content, and data extraction. Every day my colleagues here in Indo rave about how Claude has changed their lives. I’m glued to podcasts like Dwarkesh and TBPN, thinking that ID is on the same AI wave as the rest of the world. Turns out… the rest of the country isn't. It’s just today that I realized — I’ve been living in a complete bubble.

Just be dumb. If you manage to convince yourself it’s worse than you think and end up in a spiral, you can also convince yourself that it’s better than you think and end up spiralling upward.

Fun-maxxing is the new meta
Silly Business Theory is right: in the future the best work, greatest progress, most valuable innovations won't come from laboring under the false consciousness that work must be hard and serious to produce value. The best work is going to come from people playing and having fun.

Honestly, this is the most accurate diagram I've seen. Waterfall: You plan for 18 months and deliver exactly what nobody needs anymore. Agile: You deliver something usable at every step, but the CEO keeps asking, "Where's the car?" AI: You get the car on day one. It has six wheels, the doors are on backwards, and it has a rocket launcher. You spend more time making it yours than actually "building"; it's shaping. owning. verifying. That's what the best AI developers do now. They don't build. They shape and own.

making yourself addicted to endorphins is how you stay hot forever btw! you can quite literally hijack the brain’s weakness for becoming addicted to whatever brings it pleasure and put it to work in your favor. when discipline starts morphing into euphoria, you’ll know you won.
