Let’s stop calling it settler violence. It is settler TERROR. These criminals roam the West Bank with impunity, and the world stays silent.
The horrifying assault on our friend Abu Ayoub in the village of Fakhit, as captured by security cameras. Abu Ayoub is currently hospitalized with a fractured skull after undergoing emergency surgery during the night.

Cuba is out of fuel, strangled by the US fuel chokehold. People are dying, systems are breaking down. This is collective punishment against a people who have done absolutely nothing except live their lives under hard conditions imposed by the US blockade for decades. It’s a blatant violation of international law, a crime in progress. Canadians are connected to Cuba: we’ve been welcomed, had great holidays, heard incredible music, done business and made friends. We need to help Cuba right now, even if it bothers Trump: Canada should send immediate humanitarian fuel aid, in as much quantity as we can quickly assemble. And we should be speaking out loudly on the international stage: US military action against Cuba is absolutely unacceptable! It’s time for the countries of the world to rally and stop this impunity before it takes another sovereign country into chaos. We have to come to Cuba's aid. What's happening is too cruel, too horrible.

Francesca Albanese just exposed the ugly truth: The New York Times ignored Palestinian rape testimonies for over a year. She gave them a lengthy interview in February 2024. Nothing followed. UNRWA detailed torture and sexual abuse. Nothing. B'Tselem. Physicians for Human Rights. The UN Committee Against Torture-which concluded torture is Israeli state policy. The UN Commission -which called it systematic, widespread, and an act of genocide. All ignored. But now the NYT finally publishes? Suddenly it's a scandal The rape didn't start when the NYT noticed. The silence just became harder to maintain

This is Buffalo with and without McLeod in the playoffs so far. Wow.
Replying to @builder56207
I've always been skeptical of "Player X can't play in the playoffs" narratives because they're almost always based on small samples or PDO slumps. But McLeod has now seen a huge drop in GF% in 4 consecutive postseasons. Not sure if you can just chalk that up to luck/coincidence.

#WhenTheWorldSleeps Palestine stands as the moral compass of our time. Exposing Apartheid and its crimes, their root causes and implications, is necessary to ensure the world "wake up" and work together to overcome it. Together we can and we will.
When the World Sleeps: Stories, Words, and Wounds of Palestine by Francesca Albanese The first woman to serve as United Nations Special Rapporteur for the Occupied Palestinian Territory conveys the spirit of a people through 10 unforgettable stories of resilience and humanity. Francesca Albanese is the most lucid voice against Israel’s apartheid policies in Gaza and the West Bank, a voice that has been heard around the world when it comes to speaking the truth about the Palestinian genocide. In the wake of October 7, 2023, and Israel’s retaliatory war, the renowned Italian jurist has become a lightning rod for her staunch defense of human rights.  Reflecting on her years living in Jerusalem and her personal and professional journey toward understanding the Palestinian struggle, Albanese pays tribute to 10 people whose profoundly affecting stories opened her eyes, from Hind Rajab, a young Palestinian girl killed by Israeli forces, to the remarkable Jewish scholars who acted as Albanese’s mentors: forensic architect Eyal Weizman, trauma expert Gabor Maté, and Holocaust historian Alon Confino. When the World Sleeps is a courageous testimony of the harsh reality that Palestinians face. It raises critical questions about the past, present, and future of Palestine: What are the consequences of the occupation? Where is a refugee’s home? In what conditions do Palestinians live? With the uncertain end of the war, will there be a Palestinian state? Will Palestinians have the right to self-determination, and will they be able to live in peace, free at last from the coercion of Israel? A lot of jokes from King Charles tonight. “You recently commented, Mr. President, that if it were not for the United States, European countries would be speaking German. Dare I say that if it wasn't for us, you'd be speaking French”

After sleeping on it… here’s what I’m seeing. Oilers McDavid, Draisaitl and Hyman all look banged up. Coming back into their own zone, all three look slow. McDavid has looked frustrated ever since the first period of Game 1. I have never seen him play like this. Bouchard has too many turnovers. Same goes for Nurse and Walman. Ingram was solid in Game 1 and the first period of Game 3, but 13 goals against in 3 games isn’t good enough. The Ducks have a clear game plan and they’re executing it. They’re flying. That said, Oilers tied Game 2 late in the third and had the lead in Game 3. Make the right changes and control the pace in Game 4. But that sounds like a pretty big IF!

Israel killed Rico Pramudia in South Lebanon. He died of his injuries today. He wasn’t a fighter — he was a UN PEACEKEEPER from Indonesia. Israel killed him anyway. And not a single whisper from Western media. No international outrage. No justice. No accountability.

In my 25 years of investigating the arms trade & conflict, there is no doubt that the Israeli army is the most depraved, amoral military on the planet.
I have seen enough to say it with absolute certainty: the Israeli army is the most depraved army.
