As networks scale, visibility is becoming a harder problem for SOC and NOC teams.
I was glad to be quoted in @NiagaraNetw's launch of ePacketron, its new 600 Gbps Network Intelligence platform.
Packet processing and traffic optimization are moving closer to the visibility layer — a shift we see as increasingly important for modern, AI-driven infrastructure.

James Chen of MediaTek (at the Wi-Fi NOW show today) showed how the company’s Wireless-Fi 8 platform has demonstrated its DSO capability, which leverages an ‘old’ Wi-Fi 6 smartphone using an early version of its own Wi-Fi 8 smartphone to get superior throughput. The idea here is that MediaTek Wi-Fi 8 can do-exist with older Wi-Fi types to get better throughput.

pitched its HaLow mesh capability and specific verticals: building management (think HVAC, door locks, lighting), energy (solar management, pipeline anomoly detection), and retail (like Electronic Shelf Labels and inventory management). About mesh: I was blown away when that the company has demonstrated a mesh 37 deep to 100 kbps. Or in a different scenario, a repeater setup along a highway, could potentially reach ‘forever,’ assuming there are numerous repeaters.

Kelly Peralta of @gateworkscorp, US-based manufacturer who sells worldwide spoke about the differences between using HaLow in the EU and the US, concluding that HaLow is still the best in Europe (despite stringent regulations). She also said order intake is ‘crossing the chasm.’

AI is forcing a rethink of enterprise security infrastructure.
In my latest blog, I look at how @CatoNetworks is leveraging @nvidia technology to enhance its security services by embedding GPU compute across its global SASE PoPs.
The bigger takeaway: security platforms are starting to evolve their underlying architectures to both secure AI and use AI to strengthen security operations.
