Canada was quick to take the moral high ground over the U.S. during the referee visa controversy, only to turn around and deny a player a visa as well.
At some point, people need to stop blaming every immigration decision on Donald Trump and start applying a little common sense. Canada has now done the exact same thing.

So let's unpack a few things right up front...
1) He left California and was in DC at the hotel where the WHCD was veing held.
2) Imagine the intent he had to have in order to travel that distance all the while thinking about what he was going to do.
3) He either moved several weapons or procured them in/around DC and figured out a way to get them in proximity to the WHCD.
4) He took the time to load the weapons on to his body (to reportedly include several knives) and nobody noticed.
5) Now here is the kicker...in his hidden location he was somehow aware that the President was in the room and was seated. How/when was he aware of that part?
6) If he wasn't a guest at the WHCD and he couldn't see the President from where he was....how did he know?
7) It's not like he could go look in the room and then go load up with his gear.
8) He was supposedly a guest at the exact hotel? Like every room in that place wasn't booked full over a month in advance? In DC, on a Saturday, with the WHCD in the same hotel....have you ever booked a hotel in DC during a Major Presidential event? Good luck!!!
All of it screams that he had help from someone in DC. Someone with some serious knowledge and capabilities.
You just don't pull off something like that on a whim and without some serious reconnaissance ahead of time.

So, a bunch of us who've been to events with POTUS or VPOTUS over the years know you have to have your DOB and SSN sent 72 hours in advance. There are metal detectors EVERYWHERE. You're cavity searched.
So explain to me why this keeps happening? Is it staged or is the Secret Service in on it? Because Obama got like a ridiculous amount of threats and the WH was shot at and fence jumpers etc... and not once did anyone get this close. With Trump, it's happened THREE TIMES. So something isn't right here.....

The only rebuttal I have to this is just because one plays doesn’t make one more knowledgeable than someone who has honed their craft in coaching. There are so many good coaches in sports who were shit players and great players who did nothing in coaching. I learn when I listen to people….i don’t think we have enough people listening and that is LD’s point.
I think LD has had some personal experiences in youth soccer which I won’t disagree with nor know enough about.

“And so it's really hard to find commonality, because if I have a conversation with a youth soccer coach from pick wherever in America, half the time that coach thinks they know more about soccer than I do.
“And I mean, they really believe it.
“It's just because they have like power in their little fiefdoms that they run and whatever. The parents are beholden to them, the kids are beholden to them.
“So they just think they're powerful in these because they have a seat on the U.S. Soccer board, or they're one of the member associations who gets to vote on things.
“And so they feel like they're as influential as the Commissioner of MLS. It’s crazy.”
Donovan has seen it all. Having played for MLS sides like LA Galaxy and San Jose Earthquakes, he also spent time coaching San Diego Loyal in USL and San Diego Wave in NWSL.
He played in Europe as well, with Everton, Bayern Munich, and Bayer Leverkusen.
