No more actively present on X after 19.1.25. For no reason other than diminished interaction(s) and increasing irrelevant timelines. "We are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us”. Why not try chrisdec71.bsky.social or linkedin.com/in/w44bq.

On This Day 25th Aug 1914. German troops set fire to the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. More than 200,000 historical manuscripts and documents go up in flames. Editorialists condemn the act as a “treason to civilization.”

One teaspoon of the neonicotinoids pesticide could kill 1.25 billion bees. And yet the Government could be about to let it back on English fields. Sign the petition: tell Ministers to keep this ban on bee-killing pesticides in place. act.38degrees.org.uk/act/sav…

Jesus christ. I think I need to turn to alcohol or drugs or therapy or SOMETHING. I had seen the AMOC overturning warnings, but I had not seen this graph. I though somehow mostly the North Atlantic and Europe would be affected, but no, it's global boiling. en.vedur.is/media/ads_in_hea…

£600 a year across 6 sites is a “peppercorn rent”: a small amount legally required to create a lease and therefore give rights to tenants. It is usually asked for by the tenant not the landlord, as tenants’ rights are worth far more than £100. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peppercor…

We're absolutely horrified that at least 50 children have reportedly been killed in an Israeli attack on homes in northern Gaza over the weekend. At least 14,100 children have been killed in Gaza so far. How many children killed is too many before our leaders say 'enough is enough'? The UK government remains complicit, refusing to suspend all arms sales - despite the clear risk of violations of International humanitarian law. "If the international community does not intervene soon, an entire generation of children in Gaza will be erased, along with their futures. All states have a legal obligation to prevent the crime of genocide" - Jeremy Stoner, Middle East Regional Director for Save the Children. We are continuing to urge the UK government to use its power and influence to secure an immediate, definitive ceasefire, and suspend all arms sales to the Government of Israel.
