I spoke at the #HICPAC meeting yesterday. I’m a severely immunocompromised, complex patient who caught RSV, pneumonia & COVID twice in the past 9 months from medical care. I’m not alone. 849 patients signed my letter earlier this year. chng.it/Jp9rq8Bvhp @PeoplesCDC

Activated mast cells from COVID —> Increased permeability of the blood brain barrier —> neuroinflammation —> autoimmune Perhaps MS is a post-viral sequelae of COVID and not just Epstein Barr or COVID reactivates latent Epstein Barr infection
Why did the MS reddit community /r/MultipleSclerosis more than doubled since 2020? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

If you can afford masks, you should be also donating masks to those who can’t. Masks should be free, but they aren’t. Take extra N95s with you to offer cashiers, etc.

SUPPORTING PATIENTS MEAN REQUIRING MASKS
We're mobilizing a whole-of-country effort to cut America’s cancer death rate by half in the next 25 years and boost support for patients and families.   And it starts with a government-wide effort like this first-ever Cancer Cabinet to unleash every asset within our power.

Why is nobody talking about the fact that half the leaves in Philly are dead and falling off the trees well before fall, likely because of the air quality earlier in the summer

And the reason ChatGPT could do so likely has something to do with the extensive documentation those of us with TC and OTC have done.

...the toll of just trying to survive being sick takes so much energy and so many psychological resources that even if you do get to a place (like I am lucky to be in right now) where you're on treatment that works, you're doing better, your mental health might be ATROCIOUS

September 11th is how I learned that in emergency situations they’re trained to leave disabled people in the building. Around the same time my middle school had a fire drill and they did just that.

I’m more miserable after the acute phase of (my 4th) #COVID infection than during it. Severe GI stuff, headaches and migraines every day, dystonia in my hands, chest and back (kidney?) pain. #immunocompromised

bizarre that if we got human feces on any bodypart besides our butt, we would never think that wiping it off with toilet paper would be sufficient.

Thank you! I was particularly thinking of @chronicallyadyk's testimony at the #HICPAC meeting as I wrote this part about #ethics of HCWs refusing to #mask and #ADA accommodations. cc @MassGenBrigham @ericashenoy @CDCDirector forbes.com/sites/judystone/2…

hey, getting sick with a viral infection doesn’t “strengthen” your immune system! it actually makes you more susceptible to other infections! hope this helps!

I think the one thing most non-disabled people fail to recognize about the medical system is that as soon as they get sick, and I mean big sick, they most likely won’t be able to get adequate care unless their condition is common and obviously treatable.

Got fired from an oral surgeon’s office today. Showed up for surgery-assistant was visibly very sick-coughing & sneezing, no windows were open, no HEPA in room, no N95s. He knows my medical history- promised safety. Today, he shamed me and fired me for expressing concern.🖕
