Drummers aboard HMS Warrior today! What an incredible sight and sound for our guests. Our Service Children loved having a go and playing the drums, just like Polly and Hector in Race to the Sailors' Rest.

Tomorrow! £1 train rides on one of London’s oldest miniature railways, at Ickenham. Train rides 12-5pm, around both 5 inch gauge circuits & through the tunnels. You’ll find Ickenham Miniature Railway behind the Coach & Horses pub & the village pump.

We can recommend our events - they aren't races and there are no prizes, but runners are welcome to take part. Even we would struggle to make an event break even at £6 entry, but most of our shorter events (20-30 miles) are £10-20. For a 50 miler usually £30-40.
It was great when you paid £6 for a race entry fee and got a £1 off. Not so good when it's 50 notes or more. It's a sport for the relatively affluent now, cafe culture, craft beers, gels, powders, arm sleeves, high end watches and super duper shoes. Glad I did it earlier.

It's that time of year again: May heralds our annual 100 mile challenge. This year it's the Hunnypot Hundred in Kent - the main event will be the BH weekend at the end of the month, and this weekend it's the marshals' walk. They'll be setting off at 10am.Good luck to all!
