Official treatment is done. I had my 35th Radiation treatment today. Now the slow process of healing can begin. I have lost a lot of weight but did not need a feeding tube. My taste is 95% gone and am daily pain(throat) even with heavy meds. My recovery will be slow. They told me to expect 6-8 weeks before I start feeling better, with probably 2-3 more weeks of throat pain. Taste is the last to come back with up to 3-6 months before that comes back. I would like to thank the many people who have stood by my side, supported my family, and have kept me and my family in prayer. It has been a very tough, as I was not able to teach for the last six weeks of school, my son is graduating high school/college, and my care has been intense. I had all my treatment out of town, which added many hours of travel. All the positive thoughts, prayers, and heartfelt comments/actions have made a difference. I am now going to focus on a slow recovery at home and dream of when I can taste real food again.

These people have been in the country for a week and have already shown more love, respect, and appreciation for this country than any leftist born here will ever show in their lives.

Europeans filming themselves losing it over American gas stations, restaurants, and stores aren't discovering "American culture." They're experiencing the delicious fruits of a free(-er) market. These sprawling Buc-ee's with endless pumps, spotless bathrooms, and walls of snacks didn't emerge by accident. Entrepreneurs spotted real problems (crappy highway stops) and solved them ruthlessly because profit rewards whoever serves customers best. It's why Elon is now a trillionaire. Competition forces excellence. Europeans are reacting to consumer sovereignty in action. In heavily regulated systems like the EU, entry is tougher, scaling gets punished, and variety shrinks. Innovation stagnates. Places like Buc-ee's are emergent results of property rights, price signals, and voluntary exchange. No central planner decrees abundance. It flows from individuals free to build, risk, and keep the upside. Protect those conditions, and everyday life keeps improving. Choke them with rules and bureaucratic decrees, and the wonder disappears into familiar scarcity. These videos prove the point that free markets don't just work. They wow the world.
Many Europeans traveled across the U.S. during the World Cup, the journey itself becomes part of the adventure. Stopping at a massive can feel like discovering a whole new world, with its huge stores, endless food options, and unique souvenirs. What seems like a simple gas station to locals can be an unforgettable cultural experience for visitors. The combination of clean facilities, fresh food, snacks, and merchandise shows a different side of American road travel. These small moments are often what make traveling special — discovering everyday things that feel extraordinary somewhere else. Who would have imagined that a quick stop for gas could become one of the favorite memories of a World Cup trip?

A legendary quote was born yesterday from a Japanese fan of Japan’s national soccer team: “TEXAS IS GOOD. EVERYTHING IS GOOD.” It has now become a meme — a new symbol of the Japan–U.S. alliance

ダラスで日本 vs オランダ戦を観戦。 試合も素晴らしかったが、何より驚いたのはAT&T Stadium(W杯期間中はDallas Stadium)の完成度。

One of the great ironies about the #FIFA World Cup in America is that European patriots can celebrate their national pride and wave their national flags without fear of arrest or persecution by police. Think about that for a second or ten.
While proud Germans are out having fun at the World Cup, the scumbag left are calling their national pride "far-right" Imagine seeing this and getting mad. 🇩🇪

One unexpected, but pleasant, side effect of the World Cup is hearing every day things that we take for granted here in America. People from other countries are amazed that you can walk into Home Depot and buy a door. They are amazed that you can buy things over-the-counter like ibuprofen and melatonin. Watching visitors experience America through fresh eyes is a good reminder that a lot of what feels ordinary to us is anything but.

After all the efforts the legacy media put in to blackmail President Trump and discourage soccer fans and spectators from coming all over the world to the US for the World Cup, yet millions of fans have arrived and are having a blast. This World Cup might turn out to be the biggest and best in terms of revenue, tv viewership, attendance etc. Don’t bet against the USA. Meanwhile, the AT&T stadium in Dallas (Arlington) Texas, might just be the best in terms of design and structure in the world among the lots hosting the games. God bless the USA

This World Cup was going to be inevitably good for two reasons: 1) People from all over the world coming to USA/CAN/MEX on a vacation to actually have fun (duh) 2) The average American has gotten fatigued over the years by "America actually sucks" content I think a lot of people, especially Americans, just want to enjoy their summer, crack a beer, and hang out normally without having to read a billion geopolitical thinkpieces on the World Cup. And that's what this World Cup feels like. A bunch of people, from all over the world, just hanging out. And it's awesome.
I don’t know man, it sure seems like this World Cup has been an absolutely massive success after some very angry Europeans complained about nothing for a few weeks

For many Europeans visiting the U.S. for the World Cup, stopping at Waffle House becomes a unique cultural experience. Seeing long lines, a busy atmosphere, and people enjoying classic American breakfast foods can feel like discovering a tradition they didn’t expect. Sometimes, the places locals are seen as ordinary become the most memorable moments for travelers. The food, the conversations, and the energy inside a small restaurant can tell a story about everyday American life. Travel is full of these surprising connections between cultures. Who would have thought a simple meal at a roadside diner could become a highlight of someone’s journey?
For many European visitors, experiencing public restrooms in the U.S. can be a surprising cultural difference. The gaps between restroom stall doors may feel unusual to people who are used to more enclosed designs in many parts of Europe. Small details like this show how everyday habits and expectations can vary around the world. What feels completely normal in one country can feel unexpected or uncomfortable in another. Travel helps us notice the little things that shape our daily lives. How many differences do we discover only when we step outside our own culture?

As an immigrant to the US I don't think Americans realize to what extent most of the world admires the states. They look up to it, its incredible. Americans are heroes of the world for the country they've built and the impact on history. Most of modern civilizations major achievements are American, at least the big ones - mass production, space industry, nuclear power, decoding the human genome, robotics and AI, on and on. There's really nothing that compares to the excitement of moving to the states from another country. You made it. This is the big leagues. The main stage. The soft power of Hollywood cultural projection meant by the time I arrived, everything was oddly familiar, the design of street signs, roads, the look and feel of the country. This guy from India said - "you know, its like I am in GTA" - and its true. Everywhere on the planet people play video games as American soldiers. You get primed for it, by the time you get here you're like, fuck yeah, America. When I first moved here for an internship at SLAC I drove a pickup truck down from Canada and played country music. Smoked cigarettes on the highway. Went for late night rips in the hills behind Stanford. Bought a surfboard. It was just awesome, truthfully, and I think America will have to save Europe from itself a third time, simply by protecting freedom of speech, national pride, individual liberties, given Europeans a taste of those things, showing them - look, this is how its supposed to be. This is how rich you can become if you respect individual rights over government rule, if you relax the bureaucracy, the taxation, the regulation. x.com/TRHLofficial/status/20…
