Things #Teachers don’t talk about:
The quiet frustration of watching kids get passed along because the system prioritizes graduation rates over actual mastery.

MAGA will be remembered as the most embarrassing political phenomenon ever to stain the history of America, just a gutter movement that elevated the worst, dumbest, most vile among us
“Michelle Obama is a man” shouted on the White House lawn in a ring sponsored by Bud Light only available on Larry Ellison’s Paramount Plus. What a way to celebrate America 250 and the twilight of liberal democracy.

The White House was built to serve the American people. Tonight it was used to promote a company the President owns stock in, sell subscriptions, promote corporate sponsors, push Trump crypto, and enrich the President and his family. The founders warned us about kings enriching themselves from public office. They did not fight a revolution for this.

When your devotion to one man destroys your loyalty to your country and its laws. For many in MAGA, Trump is the law. And that is fundamentally un-American.
WATCH — @abbydphillip: “What about the law, Scott?” @ScottJenningsKY: “What about it? Who cares?” 🤔 Refreshing honesty from the smuggest man in the world. The law does not matter to them.

FOOTAGE OF THE LETTERS BEING REMOVED The irony of the Trump administration claiming to be the most transparent in history is never lost on me. Kennedy Center Workers used a tarp so cameras couldn’t see the removal. It’s like playing hide-and-seek with a toddler: if they can’t see you, they think you can’t see them. A huge thank you to @RepBeatty. This would not have been possible without her persistence and hard work.

For decades, Dan Patrick has sold out the poor, the sick, and the vulnerable to enrich his donors. Love feels like blasphemy when you worship power.
Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick says James Talarico is “going to Hell”: “I’ve never seen so much blasphemy from anyone running for office… He’s going to Hell, for sure.”

Hegseth removed Chappie James's portrait from the Air Force Art Gallery and left the wall empty. James flew 179 combat missions across two wars. First Black four-star general in US military history. Curry passed that portrait every day for a decade. When it came down, he retired. The wall is still empty.
Sec. Hegseth’s actions continue to be despicable – and they certainly aren’t representative of the Army I served in. We’ve repeatedly seen how this White House has disparaged and mistreated both active-duty service members and the veterans who raised their hand to serve this country. I’m glad that people are continuing to stand up and speak out. theatlantic.com/magazine/202…

He’s right, of course, but it doesn’t really mitigate the fact that Cornyn was happy to stay on the bus as long as Trump was throwing other people under it
Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, says Trump threw him under the bus. “If he would do that to me, he would do that to anybody,” Cornyn tells @hillhulse. “There’s never going to be good enough for him, other than 100 percent, you know, slavish adherence to whatever he wants. But obviously that’s not what the senator’s role is supposed to be, especially in terms of checks and balances.” nytimes.com/2026/06/11/us/jo…

Two teachers can teach the same curriculum with the same activities, and get completely different results. Because in the end, it’s the teacher who brings the curriculum to life. There’s no way around that.

Yes, everyone has been a student. No, not everyone has been a teacher. Only teachers have been on both sides of the room. Please, then, everyone quit acting like you know the job and suggesting how you’d do it better. Those who can teach.

This doesn’t mean I love it any less. In fact, it’s likely that I (still) love it so deeply, dearly that makes it so hard. Was called everything from right on to a whiny idiot yesterday. Right, wrong (or idiotic), it’s still my truth. And I’m still facing it. And not alone.

No D-Day post from our deranged President. But his deeply sick brain decided this was a better and more important post today. His bitterness and jealousy consumes him. He is a pathetic, empty shell of a human being. Obama’s nail clippings have more class and honor than he does.

They knew it was coming. Had time to act. It's not irony or bad luck that the TX economy could take a $1B hit from a screwworm infestation while a Texan is Ag Sec. It is incompetence & indifference. She, Trump, Abbott & other Rs deny & refuse accountability.
Trump's Agriculture Secretary tries to blame the resurgence of the New World Screwworm on Biden despite Trump and DOGE slashing funding for Screwworm monitoring programs
