Each time I hear something dumb about X/Twitter leadership I take an effort to trim following and find alternatives to follow them.
Feels corny, but the X might be what gets me the rest of the way out.
There’s a few people I can’t find anywhere else I’ll miss…

I’m no longer convinced that we should be prioritizing velocity over quality. It seems to me that baseline human behavior (esp our rewards architecture) simply cannot resist the urge to do mediocre work “on time”—and never iterate. It simply doesn’t work.

Having spent a couple of years as in-house UX now, it’s strongly seems that case studies address very little of what actually matters to researchers’ success, and the traditional interview panel misses out much of the infrastructure-laying and strategic thinking that makes impact

I think this is generally true. Here's the catch for local governments....
Do cars first and accommodate pedestrians second, you'll go broke. Walkability as a side fetish is mostly a financial loser.
Put people first, then accommodate cars, you'll be super wealthy.

It’s not just Tampa. Everyone is waking up to how deep the demand for walkability is. 92% of Gen Z would pay more to live in a walkable neighborhood.
Every city is in a dogfight to become more walkable before the others do. Even if they don’t know it yet.

At MIT we built an entire course around the fact that billionaires companies dont innovate, normal people do
We innovate to solve problems we or our communities face, then companies either form around, buy, or steal those innovations and sell them for profit
Billionaires are in “inventing” 5 versions of the same app. Meanwhile the people are actually innovating

ALT Post from Effin Birds: I was astonished to meet more than ten people who believed the Trash on a Mac was a perfectly normal place to store important files and had entire filing systems in there. (I met them generally because they were mad that they had accidentally emptied the trash and that the trash was not backed up.)
