Every startup has an origin story.
Ours started with a question:
“this is supposed to be the future?”
A Lagos merchant got paid in Bitcoin for the first time.
What should have been simple wasn’t.
She needed:
• 3 different apps
• A YouTube tutorial
•Learning Technical Terms

"Today you've joined as A Dada," and I said, "Of course... "
After doing my first hands-on, I had the chance to take my peers through it again. It's always amazing to learn, share, and learn more during the process, too.
Ideas become impactful when they are executed.
The internet celebrates outcomes.
Builders celebrate progress.✨
Every line of code, every design decision, and every lesson learned compounds over time.
Still learning. Still building. Still sharing the journey.🎊
Imagine in a world where anyone regardless of location, language and technical experience can open an app and say,
Send money,Check my balance, and bitcoin respond?
Because we are not teaching people a new language to use bitcoin.
We’re teaching Bitcoin to speak theirs.✨
We just won “Best Nostr Project” category @hack4_freedom Lagos 2026 🏆But this isn’t just about winning, It’s about what we’re building.
Zappr is a Bitcoin you can actually talk to in the language you think in. Pidgin•Yoruba•Hausa•Swahili.
A thread on why we built it👇

Truly one of a kind 🥹✨
Getting to meet you was one of the highlights of Hack4Freedom for me.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and the energy you brought to the entire experience.
You made Hack4Freedom feel like home, and I'm so glad we got to experience that. 🥹
Special shoutout to @ibrahim_sekinah for being the heart of our Hack4Freedom experience.💛
You made everything feel effortless, welcoming, and organized. Thank you so much for your kindness, hospitality, and for making us feel right at home. Me and my team truly appreciate you.🥹
As someone who struggled with gender inequality esp because of my field of study,I must say @hack4_freedom hackathon have really helped in building my conviction higher and that’s something i’m so grateful to @briimhd for this awesome platform to shine bright like a diamond❤️🫶
Hackathon mode fully activated💻💃🏻
It’s been exciting building with my team and realizing how much every class has shaped my understanding of Bitcoin. A lot of what we’re building right now is directly inspired by those insights.Special thanks to @hack4_freedom founder @briimhd

SO exhausted after @hack4_freedom Lagos. @ibrahim_sekinah have worked so hard to make this vision a reality. It's so surreal honestly. Watching yesterday's demos for nearly 5 hours was so emotional. Seeing the winners scream and jump and cry with joy made it all worth it.
But now it's time to grind again. See you in São Paulo July 12-26 as we bring our next edition to Brazil in collaboration with @Vinteum_org@casavinteum 🇧🇷
We're working tirelessly to educate women developers in the global south on freedom tech. Because I want to see more products built BY women, FOR women.
LFG!!!
Throwing it back to Day 1 of Hack4Freedom 🚀✨

“It’s not just a competition, it’s a journey.”
That stayed with me after the @hack4_freedom kickoff.
Your story, consistency, community and non-technical skills all matter.
And one thing became clearer:
great products solve real problems for real people🤍

Good morning 🍫
Went off Twitter for a while… turns out the bugs didn’t miss me 😅
Back now, back to learning, and back to shipping.
