fsspec is good filesystem interface for Python, JuiceFS should be one implementing it.
Without looking at the paper yet (weekend reading!), I'm reminded of JuiceFS, which exposes a POSIX filesystem over cloud object storage and keeps filesystem metadata in a database like Redis. juicefs.com/docs/en/intro.ht…
