I don’t even know what a GPU is.” Who knew they also had a sense of humor?! Funny guys!

Your first conversation with your Engineering team the next morning is not "where are we at" but "how about we try...". Engineers consider you one of them, the business team considers you one of them and the customer considers you one of them and knows you will deliver. "On the surface you seem calm and ready.." but you deal with incredible complexity in your mind, your mental PRD has been revised in real time since this morning, mapping out uncertainties of engineering deliverables, the pressure to close the business and most importantly keeping the customer happy. You can lead a squad or an org, and in this role the decision making is yours and the buck stops with you - definitely if there is a failure. And you own it.
