I’ll be giving an oral talk on this TenK10K multiome project at #ESHG2026 at 11:45am, Jun 14 in Room F1-3 (session C17.6). Join me if you’re interested in caQTL/eQTL mapping, GWAS "missing regulation", multiomics integration & our TenK10K cohort! Happy to chat 1-on-1, plz DM me.
I am happy to share the updated preprint of our TenK10K multiome project. tinyurl.com/tenk10k-multiome…. The full caQTL summary from 922 donors and 3.5M nuclei is now available for download, plus many key summary results! Lots of new analyses since v1. Quick tour of what's changed 👇

This new paper is probably the most prominent example to date of how linking genetic variation to cell-level, rather than tissue-level, gene expression can transform the interpretation of GWAS signals. The study generates a single-cell eQTL resource from intestinal biopsies and blood samples from 421 individuals, including 125 with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)👇

Human pluripotent stem cells allow scientists to model human tissues and organs without using animals, but labeling cell types and states accurately can be tricky. In this perspective, @twatkeson and colleagues propose a “stem cell-relevant manifold”—a large reference map combining human tissue and stem cell-derived data. This could improve cell annotation, make lab-grown cells more physiologically accurate, and speed insights into development, disease, and potential therapies. Amplifying for Trainees attending #ASHG25
I want to try something again at #ASHG25 this year: I'll block some time on Thursday and Friday afternoons to meet with trainees who would be interested to chat on any topic. I did this last year and it was great to meet a whole bunch of new people, at all career stages!
