Quality Church Reordering
Here, level access has been achieved at a Grade I Medieval Church. Stone paving was laid leading up to the door with new jamb stones inserted to lower the level, also a smart new flush iron drainage channel fixed at the threshold. The solid oak door was carefully designed and proportioned to appear in the style of joinery from the medieval period. Attention to detail included Marian scribe marks to the surfaces of the door, a gothic Marian drop handle, hot nailed studs, and traditional straps and pintles, all of which were hand forged from wrought iron.
A combination of lime and linseed oil was used to protect the exposed surfaces of the door.
