Nurse Lucy Letby remains in prison serving a life sentence for crimes she didn’t commit because her imprisonment sends a very strong message to all NHS staff who might ever consider whistleblowing. It also the demonstrates political control over the judiciary in the UK.

Dr Andreas Marnerides leads the forensic children's pathology service at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. He was also an expert witness for the prosecution in the trial of Lucy Letby, arguing for death by air injected down the nasogastric tube, which Dewi Evans now argues against. Dr Marnerides signs off his reports with this disclaimer. Surely now is the time for him to reach out to the defence experts, read their reports, and reconsider his own? The CCRC must at least approach him for comment @ccrcupdate “I reserve the right to reconsider any aspect of this report should a significant factual inconsistency be identified that could be misinterpreted. I also reserve the right to reconsider any aspect, including the cause of death, should further factual information arise that contradicts the information provided at the time of the post-mortem examination, upon which I have based my interpretations.”

A striking thing about Dr Jayaram’s testimony re baby K is that, on his own account, he did not confront Ms. Letby about it, let alone mention it to anyone else, at the time. You’ve just walked in on a subordinate attempting murder. Would you not say something?

Police should have investigated Dr. Dewi Evans more thoroughly. He scuttled away from his NHS job in 2009 (retired), very soon after this serious complaint was made about his clinical practise removepaywalls.com/dailymail… #Letby

Another excellent and brilliantly written 'article' by @ContrarianJolly, of interest to anyone who is following the #LucyLetby case and conviction. How very refreshing to have an 'article' on this topic that is worthy of one's time.....🙄
A new bloviation, loosely themed around a Bo Diddley classic.

The ONLY coincidence in the Lucy Letby case, is that she apparently just happened to murder all the babies seconds before they died of natural causes.

"Although this has been very traumatic, my strong desire to remain in Chester and within CoCH remains, and I am hopeful that we can find a professional way forward to enable my return to where I feel I belong." Read the letter Lucy Letby wrote to her accusers after a hospital grievance investigation found in her favour, and she was told she could come back to work: thirlwall.public-inquiry.uk/… Alas, Letby never came back to work. A few weeks after she wrote this letter, and right before she was scheduled to return, one of her accusers, Dr Ravi Jayaram, told the hospital that he'd once walked in on her trying to murder a baby. It only took Dr Jayaram a year and a month to tell the hospital about this – about walking in on an attempted murder on a baby. It took Letby winning an HR complaint against him for Dr Jayaram to speak up. Once he did, the hospital called in the police.

Lucy Letby has now been in jail for 2026 days. Of good character with a wide social circle and no red flags in her behaviour. she was convicted of not 1 but 6 different spontaneous methods of harm. Nearly 3 years later, how plausible are they? (1/16)

Oh please do not be under any illusion that the vast collateral damage caused by the handling, investigation and conviction of #LucyLetby is just restricted to the nursing profession. It extends to every single medical professional.

"Leave a Light On" has an unexpected guest: George Harrison played the song's iconic slide guitar solo! Belinda suggested his name to producer Rick Nowels (who wanted someone with a very striking style) and George stumbled on the spot. He liked it so much that he sent a letter to the producer saying that he hoped they had enjoyed the work... because he even had a bubble on his finger of recording so much. Olivia Harrison later told Belinda that George accepted precisely because he loved her voice. The track is from the album Runaway Horses (1989).

Drs. Evans & Bohin had no images, descriptions nor, in most cases, even a contemporary written record: yet from descriptions recalled years—not days, weeks or even months—later they categorically diagnosed a condition neither had ever encountered in practice. This is just nuts.

thirlwall.public-inquiry.uk/… For anyone still bemused as to why #LucyLetby's submitted formal Grievance against her senior Consultant colleagues was kept well away from her jurors then here it is. In its entirety Read it and weep Just imagine if this had been allowed as evidence!

Evidence for innocence: no history of psychopathy. No evidence any baby was deliberately harmed. No eyewitness. Conscientious stickler for patients’ safety. Brearey & Jayaram’s lies. RCPCH report. Won her complaint against doctors. They knew they would likely lose their jobs.
