“The Education Secretary doesn’t understand the repercussions of what she’s doing.”
Bridget Phillipson's drive to “bureaucratise everything” will damage schools' ability to educate children, says Britain’s strictest headmistress @Miss_Snuffy.

ALT Poster advertising a research project which needs participants. The researcher is looking for biological autistic parents of autistic children. There is a scannable QR code which links to where you can register as a participant. The poster is yellow and blue with black text. There are multi coloured raised hands at the bottom. There is a University of Portsmouth logo in the top left corner.
These two need an open public debate. The fate of ALL our children is tightly tied to one woman's personal ideology - be it Marxism or Phillipsonism. @bphillipsonMP must be brought to account and @Miss_Snuffy is the one to do it. @anaboultertv#EducationNotTaxation
Book via parentcarerscornwall.org.uk/… email Kaypcc@outlook.com (Only the next few events will show up on the events page, but all of these are on their way!) Tigger Pritchard: Neuroaffirming Advocate, Consultant and Trainer
More sessions coming up at Parent Carers Cornwall - incredibly they are able to provide these to people for free, this is a rare thing, something we have got used to down here, but something which will be ending soon, so take advantage of it whilst it lasts.
She’s done. If she’d listened to anyone or shown a shred of humility it might have saved her. Between the cuts, the attack on successful academies, vandalism of the curriculum & taxing education (inc disabilities ON TOP) she’s blown it. Resign @bphillipsonMP.
One of the women in my research said it’s full on. 24/7. Around the clock. There’s no holiday. Another told me how even when you’re sick, you have to work. #mothering#SEND#unpaidcarers
"I do everything, and that can be exhausting" 😥❤️🩹
Thank you to Seven Horses Films for highlighting the experiences of carers in this short documentary.

Anybody with children should read this. We cannot let @bphillipsonMP destroy children’s lives and their education with this proposed bill. She does not care about our children.
95% of autistic children are bullied in school.
It's not 'snobbery' to choose one you feel is safer than another. It's survival.

Exactly this…there is not enough specialist provision as is and inclusion in mainstream will need fundamental change to the education system (as well as huge investment).
Increasing inclusion in mainstream schools sounds like a noble plan – but not if it means starving the specialist sector of much-needed investment, writes trust leader @warrencarratttes.com/magazine/analysis/sp…
Unpaid carers have their allowance taken from them when in hospital caring but they are still caring
Why not ask hospitals to sign a form saying “relative remained in situ caring over 35 hrs a wk” “we didn’t have the skill to provide the care the person needed
Please also discuss the implications of the new #schoolfeeVAT on children with #SEND. Education should not be taxed and even worse is to add VAT to learning support for children with SEND. They are saving LAs a lot of money by being educated outside of the state system.
🧵The @ChildrensComm (@Rachel_deSouza) spoke out against @UKLabour's Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill but said *nothing* about their divisive #SchoolFeeVAT that is forcing kids from their schools and facing threats. Does she truly stand for "ALL" children?
@EducationNotTax have written to her office multiple times, as have individual *children*. No response.
Help us get heard, and help us get a response. Please 'quote' this post (select 'repost' and then 'quote') and tag @ChildrensComm and @Rachel_deSouza. Each of us has a voice, and together we have strength.
The posts that follow are examples of the toxic environment this policy has created for children. Children who DO matter, even if the Children's Commissioner thinks otherwise.

Teachers have the power to support and change the lives of autistic students.
More often than not, however, they abuse autistic students and inflict lifelong trauma.
They turn the classroom from a point of liberation to a prison.
I was surprised yesterday when lawyer Starmer used loose language like "loners and misfits" in connection with violent crimes and sure enough we see headlines today like "War on 'Misfits'" which can endanger the neurodivergent and those with mental health issues.#r4today
