2026 will probably be a horrible year.
They just paid out checks to soldiers families, the markets (from commodities to stocks) are signaling something bad, and there is no one in gov’t coming to save us.
Given the circumstances, how to make it a good year?
1. Adapt. Discard ideologies that do not work. What we were taught no longer applies, so forget it. It’s just holding you back.
2. Build contemporary skills. Learn to vibe code.
3. Learn obscure but relevant knowledge. How does China think? How to work with Central Americans?
4. Build your family. The more kids you have the better chance you have at a pension in old age.
Chaos is fun. So is hardship. You’ll look upon these days favorably later in your life.
Embrace it.

Every train station and combini I have ever been to has a trash can for moeru, moenai, and pet. This is not rocket science. Just find one of the two most common place buildings in the country and drop your trash off there. Don't know where one is? Ask. People will help.
