@EdwardJDavey, on #bbclaurak and #SkyNews' @TrevorPTweets, about care: as a #Liberal, mandate eldercare insurance via a state exchange, propose foreseeable social care investment grants, and instead of 'in loco parentis' #SEND, introduce term-time care tax rebates or allowances.
Liberal Democrats are standing up for the millions of people across our country who are caring for loved ones. 📺Watch @EdwardJDavey's #CarersWeek message

@LibDemMedia, at the weekend, on shows like #bbclaurak, to counter #Tory and #ReformUK politicians bloviating about defence, as Liberals, @LibDems MPs must advise that, post-#Brexit, as America's Century ends, #Britain establish an intergovernmental Alliance d'Europe with the EU.
'John has effectively said I will not preside over the death of the Royal Navy' Conservative MP Tom Tugendhat, a former Security Minister, spoke to #BBCBreakfast after John Healey resigned as Defence Secretary and told Keir Starmer the upcoming defence investment plan "falls well short of what is required for defence and the country at this dangerous time" bbc.co.uk/news/live/cgqeg09p…

In all things, at all times, I apply the wisdom of Solomon to the #LibDems, @WillForster. It's the reason I ask: are you Liberals, and why not demand devolution via council-set Westminster-collected same-rate local income, business, & property transaction taxes instead?#Newsnight
I'm delighted that the Government have agreed to give Maybury Primary School and Westfield Primary School more money to improve their buildings - it's great news for our community. I'll continue to push for more investment in local schools right across #Woking constituency.

.@MakeVotesMatter and @FairElectionsUK, retain single-member constituencies by ending the electoral pacts, spoiler candidates, & tactical voting features of the plurality-winner vote and introducing the alternative vote. In all things, I apply the wisdom of Solomon; say #YES2AV !
People are rightly worried about Reform winning power on a small % of votes But as Emma Harrison from Make Votes Matter says: NO party should have 100% power on a fraction of the vote. It doesn't matter who they are Times have changed, & the voting system has to change with it

This apologist for ethno-confessional fascism, Lord Mann, is a Zionist Statist. He asserts that the #NHS is a state monopoly, but does not propose healthcare via a tax-funded state monopsony vs an in-network market, rather than parastatals. #PoliticsLive

@EdwardJDavey, monetise the exchange of labour by abolishing non-wage costs, ending in-work benefits, instituting an incidence transfer from employers to workers, and mandating out-of-work, childcare, & eldercare insurance from a state exchange. #Newsnight gemini.google.com/share/77de…

@sarahjolney1 and @pippaheylings: While the Fabians disregard their regressive economic incidence to extend subsidies to pubs, clubs, & factories, as Liberals you must propose mutuals, profit-sharing, & steered-tax discounts for surplus #NetZero combined heat and power. #r4today

@sarahjolney1 and @pippaheylings, honestly, Fabianism is Statism, which is Socialism, and therefore illiberal. The clamour, endorsed by apologists, @TheIFS, for Labour's redistributive energy market policy, has a regressive economic incidence.#BBCBreakfast g.co/gemini/share/bff1213cad…

@sarahjolney1, @libdemdaisy, & @CalumMillerLD, bearing the new balance of power of our world (#China and #India) and the blood-soaked continuum of European history in mind, Britain needs an intergovernmental, not a supranational, Alliance d'Europe with the EU, not a tariff union.

@LibDems, Fabians are statists who prioritise redistribution, not energy security; likewise, apologists for statism from @TheIFS, the @IPPR, & @resfoundation. Instead, propose firm, not intermittent, #NetZero geothermal and virtual power via a green capitalism bank. #PoliticsLive

@LisaSmartMP, before you comment in the media on the murder of Henry Nowak by Vikrum Digwa, a Sikh, and his subsequent sentencing; watch this professional reporter's piece-to-camera on #GMB. The identitarian right wants a race war. The Police aren't going after "whites"! #r4today
A man will be sentenced today over the stabbing death of 18-year-old Henry Nowak. Vickrum Digwa was found guilty of murdering the Southampton student with a ceremonial blade which Sikhs are required by their faith to carry. Digwa had accused his victim of racial abuse which was later found to be a lie. Despite telling police he'd been stabbed, Henry was handcuffed and was struggling to breathe in the moments before he died from his wounds. @ashnahurynag explains from Southampton.

At times, as a child and a man, Punjabis have been friends of mine. Seek advice before commenting, but comment you must. Policing is hard work, so acknowledge this. Vikrum Digwa, the odious murderer, not woke policing or police officers, is at fault here. #ReformUK #GMB #r4today

As Palmerston warned about electoral politics, power sought by populists via electoral pacts, by deploying spoiler candidates, advising tactical voting, and winning pluralities, not majorities, in our single-member constituencies system, is also at fault. Say #YES2AV ! #r4today

Like Palmerston, I am reticent about electoral politics, @LisaSmartMP. That said, citizens are within their rights to question their mayor, and the next Prime Minister, about his "cultural" priorities in our plurality-winner vote system, if he is identity-alarmed. Say #YES2AV !
Within DAYS of taking office, Andy Burnham commissioned an inquiry into grooming gangs that: - vindicated the whistleblowers - exposed institutional cover-ups, - and led to arrests and convictions of perpetrators who would otherwise have walked free.

@soclibforum, first, I'm a Liberal, not a Fabian. Second, on pensions, Daisy Cooper must counter: an earnings link, not the @LibDems' triple-lock, matters. Thirdly, on the #NHS, she should say: a state monopsony vs an in-network market is required, not state monopolies or a #PFI.
"If we carry on like this... we're going to create a situation where economically we're not able to grow." Sir Tony Blair says the current welfare and pension triple-lock policies are 'not affordable', and argues for change in the NHS.
